    2) Middle

    3)Watermelon

    4) Yes I would be able to. When my parents got there land up North when I was younger we didn't have anything. No electric, running water. I remember having to pump water into five gallon jenny jugs. Then when we went home I realized how lucky we were.

  4. 1. I think swear words have a place in society. I think violence and nudity has a place in movies... when it is done to excess or only for sensationalism, it is offensive. Some of the crap that is produced today is very offensive.

    2. middle

    3. I like most of them. Bananas are the easiest to eat..

    4. No way. Women had no rights. I would have been beaten, jailed or killed. I'm far too outspoken.

  5. KK.. I took the liberty of looking up "Famous Women of the 1800's" Quite a list of notables including...Annie Oakley, Hellen Keller, Susan B Anthoney, Harriet Beecher Stowe, Elizabeth Cady Staton, Lucy Stone, the list goes on & on with some very fasinating women fighting for their rights, anti-slavery, abolition and social reform. I think you would have made a real name for yourself.

  6. KK you are not the only one that is out spoken. So am I. Don't feel bad.

  7. 1. yes, I find it sad that people cannot seem to express themselves without constant cussing. Not saying I do not cuss and I don't have a problem if it happens sometimes, it just seems like people really try to put as many as they can..

    2. The youngest of 4

    3. clementines

    4. don't think so, but that is because I am used to my creature comforts.. if I were born in the 1800s of course I would have been able to handle it.. you would have to.

  8. 1. I think TODAY'S music is offensive.

    2. Youngest

  9. 1. As our language grows, so do the way words are viewed. "Darn and Dag nab it" were once loudly shouted down as not something gentle folk used in their language. As time passed the gradual acceptance brought them into main stream usage. This same slow metamorphosis is happening to words our Mom's thought were offensive and never used.

    2. Third of four.

    3. Nectarines.

    4. Not now. I'd be dead and buried many years if we were back then. When I was younger I could have.

  10. Darn, Mary I was gonna say Canned Peaches, but I kinda like Pears more, because they don't slide as much.

BTW. Glad to see your OK. Didn't burn up, or blow away. Thank God.

  11. kk: Your number 4 answer Is priceless. Apart from the Woman's Rights thing, the rest of them fit me like a "T" Matter of fact. The football player that had "He Hate Me" on the back of his Jersey should have been ME.

  12. 1. Eff that fargging BS! There is a huge difference between the proper use of cursing and overly excessive use. Walk the line people, you iceholes!

    2. Oldest

    3. Ambrosia Apples

    4. As long as I can bring my bass with me, and organize NASWAGR(National Association of Wagon Racing). In all seriousness, That was a time of big ideas and hard work. I think I would like to have lived in early 1950's America first, but the 1800's seems very interesting.

  13. 1) Rap music with all the cussing makes no sense to me.

    2) 2nd oldest

    3) Bananas are good, grapes, oranges, I guess it depends on what I have a taste for at the time.

    4) Wouldn't mind giving it a try just as long as I didn't have to wear a hat...can't stand them.

  15. 1) I think it's weird when I hear cursing in the music played over the PA at the Piggly Wiggly. Cursing for cursing's sake is prevalent and stupid and offensive. At the same time, as someone who has been known to utter a naughty word or two, I believe that cursing has its place in society.

By the way, I find kk's use of the word "crap" offensive.

    2) Youngest of two.

    3) Grapes, lately. It was bananas for awhile.

    4) No. I can't even handle living today.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Wish I could have, jedwis, But I had to go to work..

    1) Actually, I'm quite used to it. Some of the early music that I listen to has cussing in it. Although some of today's rap has a bit too much of it.

    2) Oldest of two.

    3) Lemons

    4) A few years ago I was watching some reality show called Frontier House on PBS. The show portrays families from all over America who give up their modern lives for a chance to live like western settlers in the past, complete with petticoats and wagons. It was a competition in which the family who adapted the best won the prize money.

I'd like to try it, but somehow I don't think I could handle the all that hard work.
