An important alert just in from a friend.

Dear friends and family:

As you all know, my undergraduate degree is in Nuclear Physics, and my Masters and Ph. D. degrees are in Particle Physics.

Given the above, I thought I had an obligation to address the issue of radiation from the Japanese disaster spreading around the world.

With all the fear of radiation fallout from Japan I thought it might be useful to tell you about a cheap, effective, homemade radiation tester you can easily assemble and rely upon.

Just follow these simple instructions:

OPEN A BAG OF ORVILLE REDENBACHER MICROWAVE POPCORN.

LEAVE IT ON YOUR KITCHEN COUNTER.

IF IT STARTS POPPING, YOU'RE SCREWED!

  2. But at least we'll have popcorn to eat before we light up like glow-in-the-dark toys.
