  5. No, Shakey's on Hwy. 31 in Somers, Kenosha county. Somers allowed 18-year-old beer bars back then, when everything else was 21. They sold a hell of a lot more beer than pizza in that Shakey's. I remember/ visited all of the places SER mentioned.

    How many kids drove home drunk how many vehicles how many times back then? Staggering. Pun intended.

    We usually stopped at the Big Boy's on Durand Ave. to get something to eat before going home. How many of those meals got thrown up later?

  6. Lenny was the owner of Shakey's in Keno, when they past the law to allow 18 year olds to drink booze he sold it and built the one on Lathrop ave. Later he retired and now it's Buckets Pub.

    The Chaparral was on the service road south of Hy-50. They sold quarts of beer. They were fine in the winter but summer time they would warm up to fast.
