  1. Well, looky there! We should have some of those printed matchbooks! Very cool, SER!

  2. I used to save them to show places I've been. Now they are only used to light candles in a glass. Otherwise it's definitely a lighter. I didn't think they were making them anymore.

  4. The above list correlates cigarette brands with ID's.

I wish I could remember so many of the brands of yesterday, so many more comparisons could be made for the moment of amusement, Keep smil'in, got to go for now.
    It's shoooooowtime tomorrow.

  5. I was speaking strictly for advertising and website promotion. Those days of darkening my lungs are over. My matches are used for candle and bonfire lighting only.

BLB, the better question might be... what are you rolling? ;>

  10. Legal, That was truly clever. I really like the Union Label. I have an OLD metal sign that say's "This Bar has Union Bartenders" hanging In my kitchen. I only wiped the middle off, so the years and years of smoke are still on It. I quit 15 years ago, but wish I didn't. My brother sent me his Electronic Cigarette Kit, a few months ago, because I was craving. HOLY SHIT. The first drag, and inhale damn near choked me to death. It's back In It's box.

  11. Remember the line for the weather witch!
    Beware of the diniers.

I am going to google the old list of cigarettes and try a different spin next time around.
Not to often I get some free time to use for amusement. Some of the very creative cigarette commercials were better than the shows they were sponsoring.

    Remember, it's shooooooowtime tomorrow.

  14. I have matches in a kitchen drawer and they've been there for years. Little use for them, except to light the grill in the summer.

  15. Legal, Darned If I know, but nearly anything unusual would certainly kill me.

BTW, I have framed ads somewhere of JOE FRIDAY, and BOB HOPE both smoking, and advertising cigarettes. Life Magazine used to have full page ads of stars smoking. L&M was a big advertiser. Lucky Strikes were also common.

  18. If you are a TRUE cigar smoker and I’m not talking about those little terds you buy at the corner store, I mean a nice $10 or so dollar stogie, you’ll never light it with a paper match or a gas lighter, you’ll always use a wooden match; it really makes a huge difference.
