we did anything like this, ya'all please check in.

Let us know you're ok, still here,
weathered the storm, etc.

How did you manage yesterday?

Stay safe, and stay warm!

  1. here, present and accounted for.
The neighbor was my hero yesterday, doing our driveway, twice!
I was home from work before it got bad. It was still in the slushy phase. Not sure how much snow we got here, but looking out before heading to bed, looked like possible 6+ inches and growing. After I went to bed, the neighbor called to assure he the driveway is good and I won't have any trouble getting out at the crazy early hour I leave for work. Love that guy!

  2. Very nice neighbor, lizardmom.

I'm here. As I said on another blog, I went out to get some food about 6 PM last night. It was some of slipperiest stuff I've ever driven in. I worry about the other drivers during snowstorms. I don't trust them even when conditions are good.

Climbing the incline to the west of the State Street Bridge, for awhile I thought I wasn't going to make it. No matter what I did or didn't do, the rear wheels kept spinning and the truck kept sliding back. My truck is two wheel drive and I didn't put the winter weights in (yet).

  14. We got about 4 inches of the stuff, but It was certanly enough to make It really hard to drive the Chrysler 300 In the snow. I was all over the place. I don't think I will be trying that again anytime soon.

Why Not? Have you tried any of that Sweedish Horsemeat yet? I saw It on Yahoo this morning. YUK. But again, who know's, maybe It's not all that bad?

  15. Cant say I have but I do know that it's a normal thing here.. they call it hamburger which can be quite confusing for those of us from English speaking countries.. suppose I should try it someday.. but that along with blood pudding, I will probably say pass when it comes my way..

we are still getting snow.. supposed to get a bit more.. right now we are at about 6" supposed to stop snowing tomorrow evening sometime.. good thing we have no where to go.. (well except Mina has soccer practice, tomorrow, but that is not too far away)

  17. Mary., we're already well into February. If I put the weights in now, I'll just have to take them out in month or so. Might as well leave them out.

I went out late this afternoon and the streets were crap. Maybe they've forgotten how to plow?
