Useless Information

Did you Know:

Even as aspirins get old their strength will last a long, long, long time, BUT they will start to smell like vinegar.

acetylsalicylic acid can have a very long shelf life (years) if stored dark, dry, and cool.

  1. I've noticed that vinegar smell. That's when I would throw the aspirin out.

  2. How appetizing. My head hurts and now I want to puke.

  3. Did you know that anything you consume or apply tropically is required to have an expiration date? If I remember correctly it might be 2 years, whether the product spoils or not.

  4. I came across about 8 bottles of boxed Aspirin I must have purchased at Walgreen's for a REALLY cheap price 6 years ago. I tossed them. My Boo, Boo. I guess they were not the bargain I thought they were.

  5. Sometimes I think those expiration dates are just a marketing scam. There's even expiration dates on cans of soda. If they can get us to throw out stuff because it is "spoiled," then we have to buy more. I heard that properly canned food will last over a century, as long as the can doesn't leak.

  6. Aspirin just might be the miracle drug everyone is looking for. Everyday they come up with more good reasons to take it.

But if it smelled like vinegar, I like KK would probably hurl.
