"How US bomber nearly nuked North Carolina in 1961"



Some things you might be better off not knowing. They say you don't want to see how sausage or legislation is made. You don't want to see the kitchen of your favorite restaurant. And I could have lived quite well without the knowledge of the thousands of near misses with nukes. If one goes off and I'm in range, I'll never know.

    So much for fail/safe when 3 of 4 safety devices failed. Did they use Eveready or Duracell? How about DIEHARD!!!

    In another interview, he said that as the plane broke up, if just one stray wire with juice hit the arming mechanism, kaboom!
