Happy Friday (yawn...) blog

YEAH!! We made it to Friday!!

Big guy here is set to go home Sunday night,
mom is back from Iraq, I'm going to miss the big lug!
Other than that, I'm planning a lazy weekend :)

  1. I did put a red bow on his enclosure just in case he stays a while longer :)

  2. You should put the bow on him, not his cage. Lol, I once tried to get a cat to wear a red stocking cap for a holiday picture. I ended up putting it on a stuffed animal instead.

I've got nothing to do but the 10,000 things I always put off for "when I have the time," like organizing the closets and the files on the computer, sorting through old pictures, etc. Those are activities that make for fine winter projects. Good thing it's not winter yet . . .

  5. logjam, you make me sneeze!!! I'm allergic to anything with hair, fur or feathers, sometimes the hubby and kids too!! Even 'the boys' get my asthma going during mating season, don't know what they're giving off, but wow...

  6. Sorry Liz.....maybe you could shave the bunny?

  7. I think I'll stick to my 'boys', no shaving neccessary! I have dust bunnies, does that make up for it??

  11. Liz, we don't mean to be mean about your reptiles...honest.

My hot tub was delivered today...I think tomorrow evening I will kick back in there with a glass of wine (no ice, Abby) and relax. My cocker spaniel will lie next to the tub, gently snoring. I hope this cures my darn elbow and shoulder pain.

  13. don't worry Beejay, I get this stuff all the time at work, I can hold my own, AND my boys! :)~
The big guy who is going home Sunday, isn't too fazed at all by mating season, but Max, yikes, he turns psycho, and yes, wants at me like a maniac, just wants to be held, ALL THE TIME........ poor boy can't handle those hormones :(
He used to 'flash' his old mom, but hasn't done it here - whew!

  17. I hear there's going to be a Roller Derby show not too far from Racine (and me!), up in Franklin on hwy 100 Saturday night. I'd really like to check it out, always thought I'd like to try it (work out my frustrations by whooping on other women while people cheer me on, wheeeeeee!). Or by breaking a bone, whatever;-)

  18. They are cool to look at, but they do make me very nervous. The day they were in the yard, I had a hard time not keeping them in my vision at all times, just in case they slipped their restraints and made a run for it. They are so big!

  19. Omg cyndi, I didn't know that Milwaukee has a roller derby team, the Brewcity Bruisers. I wanna go. I've been to that sports complex before, for kickboxing. Dang, it's snowing out. $15 for tickets. I wonder if my buddy in Milwaukee will wanna go?

  20. there are several teams I guess, tons of cool stuff going on up in Milwaukee. But dangit! Once my kids are finally old enough for me to have any sort of grownup fun again, I'll be too old to be a Brew City Bruiser:-( Let me know if you're seriously considering going, me and hubby will meet you there/save you seats. I hear it fills up-- FAST.

  21. My first teaching job was on St. Croix. I also coached soccer and we played a tournament on St. Thomas. We had to chase a couple of dozen iguanas off the field before the Saturday morning game! Good warm up for the kids!
