  6. KK: OH BOY, Dark, Dark chocolate. I do love it. Lobster also.

Sassa: Would a smoked Chub qualify as a boney fish?

Huck: The ONLY thing wrong with Rutabaga is the fact you can cut your hand off trying to cut it up. Did you take the WAX off? LOL

  11. KK that stuff reeks when you cook it. Mom used to cook i9t once in awhile when I was a kid. I could smell it from fout doors down. I knew it'd be a dessert less evening because I couldn't even swallow that nasty stuff. Many years later, Mom gave me a small framed quote.

"The only good day for Rutabaga is one that doesn't end in 'Y.'"

It used to sit on my bench at work and now sits on my workbench in the garage.

  13. That's okay huck. I really like rutabaga, too. Cook it with a ham, carrots, cabbage, potato and onion, then mash everything together. Good old boiled dinner. Comfort food from when I was young.

I can add to the don't like list:
Mushrooms, Sardines, any canned meat, blue cheese. Those things seem like they've sat a bit too long and should be tossed instead.

  14. Huck: My wife hates everything, but loves Rutabaga. I can't figure it out. I like it too, but don't cook it often because it's too dangerous to cut up. 5 minutes later. I just got the part about the best day eding in "Y" Geez i'm slow.

KK. I can't believe you don't like Blue Cheese? Sardines, your just buying the wrong kind they MUST be KING OSCAR TWO LAYER (in oil) on sliced Pumpernickel bread BUTTERED. Same way with the Blue Cheese.

  15. When I was growing up we ALWAYS had fish on the table..as a meal or sampler. (My dad was Norwegian) Anyways I was eating a fish from an oval can and I ate everything but the head. I looked at dad's plate and there lay the head and skeleton. I HATE picking out bones. My dad and brother used to fight over the cheek meat of a torsk head because the was the best. It was cooked well enough when the eyes popped out. I hate fish. I have eaten at one setting a whole bag of Reeses. M-m-m-m-m My son and I would go to the Corner House and the cost was $100 including tip. The good old days!
