"It's going to be gorgeous. 50 degrees and sunny skies forecast in Milwaukee this week"

It's going to be 50 degrees.

The National Weather Service forecasts highs at or above 50 degrees for both Monday and Tuesday. What's more, the sun is coming out.

Monday, the forecast is sunny with a high near 52. Tuesday will be nearly as nice with a high near 50 and mostly sunny skies.

The forecast predicts winter weather will return later in the week. Snow Lilly, the Milwaukee County Zoo's polar bear, did see her shadow on Groundhog Day Feb. 2. According to legend, that means we'll have winter into the middle of March.

Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, highs will be in the 40s. Saturday, the temperature will dip back into the 30s.

Summer will be here someday. For now, we'll take 50 degrees.

I stopped believing National Weather Service forecasts long ago.  They're good for 24 hours or so.  How can anyone know what the weather will be like in five days?  I spent years in the landscape and found the best forecaster was my gut.

The Weather Underground isn't making quite so rosy a prediction:  https://www.wunderground.com/forecast/us/wi/batten/KRAC?cm_ven=localwx_10day

I hope we do see the 50's all week.  Hell, all month.

February is over two thirds done.
March madness- not basketball but the weather is what I'm looking forward to.
50 degrees it is then!
