What we know about Wisconsin's COVID-19 vaccine plan, what groups will get it and when

With Wisconsin’s vaccine rollout in its fourth week, many members of the public still have questions about the state’s phased plan and where they stand.

Who will be next in line to receive the vaccine? That decision is up to a little-known entity called the State Disaster Medical Advisory Committee, which advises the Wisconsin health department in disasters or public health emergencies. 

SDMAC’s 17-person vaccine subcommittee is made up of doctors, nurses and public health experts and takes into account guidelines from numerous government and academic sources, including the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
