'Doesn't seem like a big deal': For a mask skeptic, news that Trump has COVID-19 doesn't change things

Bob Tarantino made up his mind on face masks long ago.

And the Sussex Realtor — who in April led a car caravan of business owners to a Madison rally protesting Gov. Tony Evers' coronavirus restrictions — isn't budging, even with the news that President Donald Trump has tested positive for COVID-19.

"My personal opinion is the masks will make everyone sicker, not from the COVID but from everything else that's going around in the winter," Tarantino said Friday.

To wear a mask or not continues to be a personal, political and cultural flash point in the country, even though the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says face coverings can slow the spread of the novel coronavirus.
