Libertarian political commentator Styxhexenhammer666 released a video today calling for the end of universal suffrage in America in light of Joe Biden’s enduring support across the country.
Allegedly, Joe Biden still commands a national approval rating over 40%. Additionally, Styx noted in the video that “there is still a double digit proportion of the population that, given the choice, would elect him again if an election were held today.”
Following Biden’s recent CNN townhall debacle, Styx concluded that there are segments of the American population simply too irresponsible to be entrusted with enfranchisement seeing as they continue to support a proven dementia patient as president.
I’m thinking we need to move away from universal suffrage. The republic managed to survive for an extended period without it to begin with, so I don’t see how putting the genie back in the bottle would be a problem. I think maybe we should base it on whether a person actually pays into the system, whether a person can be counted on to have national loyalty. That’s just my opinion. Maybe government workers probably shouldn’t be voting because it’s a conflict of interest. They vote overwhelmingly Democrat; I wonder why.
Styx closed with advice for the meantime: “take over your state government and stop the federal government from taking so much power.”
As conservative ideas become less popular at the national level, state and local governments will become increasingly important, especially in red areas.
Kyle might as well of just opened fire on Antifa unprovoked, RoboCop style. Not that I would support that, but he would have killed more of these people, and they’re going to treat his obvious self-defense case the same way.
They’re going to give him the same amount of time as they would give a mass shooter.
A jury was selected in a single day Monday for the homicide trial of Kyle Rittenhouse, the young, aspiring police officer who shot three people while they were out on the streets of Kenosha during a protest against racial injustice last year.
Opening statements are set to begin Tuesday morning.
The jury in the politically charged case must decide whether Rittenhouse acted in self-defense, as his lawyers claim, or was engaged in vigilantism when the 17-year-old opened fire with an AR-15-style semiautomatic rifle in August 2020, killing two men and wounding a third.
In an all-day session that ran well past dark, 20 people — 12 jurors and eight alternates — were selected. The judge said he would decide at the end of the trial which ones are alternates and which ones will deliberate. The 20 consist of 11 women and nine men.
Jurors were not asked to identify their race during the selection process, and the court did not immediately provide a racial breakdown of the group.
