another toasty day today, stay hydrated and safe. Just over 2 week to my sister's wedding, lots done, lots to do. This summer is just flying by!

Ceiling fans on, windows open and yes, it is getting toasty in here. Of course the humidity doesn't help at all. Hopefully the a/c will be fixed today.

Have a great day everyone.

♪♫ Hey Jude, don't make it bad, take a sad song and make it better ♪♫

Sir Paul is playing at Miller Park. I saw him many moons ago, when he had his band, Wings. Awesome show. People are in for a treat.

Another hot one today. Mary, what a terrible time to have the air go out. Hope it is fixed soon!

I can't believe I've burned up a month off already, and gotten SO LITTLE done.

Yee haw, the A/C man is at the house.

Although he did say we will need a new a/c and heating system "one of these days", for right now this problem was caused by a fuse.

KK - I'd be at that concert if I were there. I saw him with Wings in Chicago in the 70's.

what a day of 'excitement', daughter had to be picked up from work, she was sick from the heat, trouble breathing, the works. We'll have to go get her car a little later. She's a tough one but they called me, she was having such trouble she was in tears, talk about ripping my heart out :( Brought her home, got 2 ice packs wrapped in towels to help cool her, got her on the nebulizer, downed 2 benadryls (complaining of bad allergies to boot...), pumped fluids, she took a cool shower and she's been resting for the last couple hours. This super high dew point with the heat is making living a bit rough. PLEASE be careful out there, even in small doses.

Hope your daughter is feeling better, Liz. It happened to me twice in my life, once when I was young, like her. Even when you think you are doing okay and keeping hydrated, it can sneak up on you. All of a sudden, everything goes black. Scary stuff.

An expensive fuse with the service call

Irregulars

Got A/C?

OKIE said...

Actually Legal, we got off cheap. Since hubby deals with home builders he meets a lot of people. He called one of his buddies and he looked at it. All in all, between fuse, house call and other various parts, it came to $240.
He also let us know what needed to be done to keep it going.

We got so lucky with the weather being unseasonably cool and lots and lots of rain. In fact, it is raining again now. Over 3 inches in the past few days. We'll take it.

I saw in the Journal Sentinel where they said McCartney is getting rave reviews on his tour so far.

I hope your daughter gets well, lizardmom. When I worked outdoors, I made sure I brought along plenty of Gatorade and water. I was also big on sun block.

My partner at work went to see Paul McCartney, I'm soooo jealous! I'll hear about tomorrow. I better get a T-shirt!

Anyways, another day tomorrow in the hot sauna. I know I'll be chugging a lot of water. Dehydration is a serious issue at work.

Hopefully they can close the roof and put the AC on....
