Not sure what point-of view is being presented - but for any that don't understand the fact that private business and property owners can't alone shoulder the increased cost of fuel along with government passing those cost increases to them while still overpaying and overcompensating the public employees/government officials:

From TAXIFORNIA:

"California Gov. Jerry Brown on Monday asked state employees to work a four-day, 38-hour week as part of a package of massive spending cuts needed to help the state close an unexpected $15.7 billion budget deficit.

In addition to the unusual four-day workweek — part of a mandated reduction in salaries and benefits to state workers of 5 percent — Brown's proposed budget, which would take effect July 1, also would slash $1.2 billion from the state's Medi-Cal program and more than $2 billion from education.

Brown also urged voters to pass an initiative to raise taxes that he is supporting on the November ballot."

Good old Gov. Jerry "Moonbeam" Brown (D) is going to kill the State of California. The power to tax is the power to destroy - and Moonbeam is on a rampage looting and destroying businesses and property values.

I like Venus. She is a Roman goddess principally associated with love, beauty, sex, fertility, prosperity and military victory and she probably had a few 5th's.

TSE, I will provide you with just ONE point. I don't recall the name of the company that Is going to expand, I believe It was In yesterdays online JT? They state, In the end they will employ something like 150 additional people LOL. BUT, you will notice this POOR company one of which you speak Is doing so, because of the INCENTIVES It Is receiving from the State and Local GOVERNMENTS (US) and likely would NOT without It.

Toad, it was Unico in Franksville

Jed, Yup. Poor companies my ass. They won't do squat unless city's and county's etc. give them the moon, and when all Is said and done none of what they claimed would happen so far as employment levels happens. I worked for one that left Racine 20 years ago, promising 300+ jobs, and they have about 55.

Did you ever think that is because property tax rates are TOO high and government officials are overpaid?

Private industry must COMPETE GLOBALLY.

I can't educate those who don't grasp the implications of a Global Economy.

Let's pay Government Officials and public employees realistically - according to the reality of the global economy.

Being angry and denying REALITY doesn't change reality. Facts are facts whether you like them or not.

TSE, WELL, the Unions of this nation fought tooth and nail against "Fair Trade" but Bill Clinton still signed It, and we are NOW paying the price. This Is all occuring after we sat on our thumbs, and watched Japan steal ALL of our ideas, and body slamming us all of those years after WWII. It's really our own fault. The Demmings, and Jurans taught the Japanese just how to whoop us, and they did. Now they have the same problems we have, and the Chinese have taken over. Unless someone comes up with some kind of super fantastic technology In this country, we are doomed to be reliant of other nations for all of our needs.

How did I miss this blog? Maybe it was meant for me not to see when I was reeling from the dismal current events. The people have spoken and I accept their decision. They will be the ones crying when phase 2 hits 'their' pocketbook.

Fuel and operating costs are NOT burdened by company owners.... they are passed along to the consumer, you and I.

Now, with these new tax "incentives" to business owners, and the reduced labor costs (due to unemployment and underemployment of skilled workers) we can use our tax dollars to pay to augment business owners bottom line. The lovely 80's trickle down theory that failed.

Yes, they will generate more jobs, amybe many jobs... low non-living wage jobs with no medical coverage. We are also seeing higher college tuition costs, less city services....cops, fire, garbage, road repair, education opportunities. I don't see that helping the average joe at ALL.

Yes, we have the tea party mentality. Let's all sit back and watch it unfold.
