Funny, when I went into treatment for alcoholism they told me that the ONLY way to recover from an addiction is through brutal honesty. There are specific steps that you must take to assess the damage that you've done to others, admit it to them, and make amends wherever possible. I guess sex addiction is different. The steps for recovering from that must include wiggling out of responsibility for your actions.
The man is a pig. A coward. A piece of shit. I knew it the moment I first saw him staggering down 6th Street, and confirmed it when I stared into his beady little eyes while he lied at the blogger's meeting. He has crapped all over Racine and no one in this city will hold him accountable for it.

He and Friedel were and probably still are pretty tight. And don't let 'lil Ben fool you - he and Becker were also very tight right up till the day Gary got busted.
Yeah pretty disgusting Becker might just get off. I wonder where he's getting the money for this? I'm guessing his brother Attorney John Becker.
Becker's already been seen regularly at the YMCA and was seen sitting in the front row at the Golden Gloves event recently.
Sounds like Becker is trying to bring himself back into the community already.
The saddest part is that Racine will re-embrace him. Less than 20% of the people will vote in the upcoming election. The vast majority don't give a damn. If Becker were stealing directly from their wallets, they'd be outraged, but if he's just screwing around with pubescent girls, it's no big deal. Hell, we used to have a juvenile judge who was a pedo. There's probably a tradition of it in Racine government. I assume these "mistakes" by Racine's LEOs are just part of the tradition.
I read the entire story, and could only think it was happening HERE instead of a REAL city with REAL PROFESSIONALS handling the situation.
I hope (should) all of this evidence be excluded SOMEONE pays for their lack of competence.
The part about the CITY TECH taking the Mayor's computer apart and all, just about makes me puke.
I'm really hoping that there is too much publicity out there to let him get away with this. We may not be "the voice" but we do have a voice.
I would find it hard to believe that a judge could let him get away with everything, especially since that detailed, disgusting chat blog was public record and posted for so many to read. Would that not be suicide on his part come re-election time?
I simply can't allow myself to believe he will be embraced again.
I heard he was received just fine at the Golden Gloves event. Disgusting.
If he keeps showing himself in public, maybe someone will do the right thing.
