WATCH NOW: Videos reportedly show Kyle Rittenhouse involved in fight, punching female last month in Kenosha

From The Journal Times.com:

Adam Rogan

KENOSHA — Kyle Rittenhouse, an Illinois teen, is facing first-degree homicide charges for killing two men in Kenosha this past week when he armed himself with an AR-15 during protests.
That wasn't his first time in Kenosha. Less than a week prior to the shootings, Rittenhouse received violations for operating without a valid license and for speeding 20-24 mph over the speed limit in Kenosha County, court records show.
And multiple videos shared on social media reportedly show a teen identified as Rittenhouse being involved in a fight in Downtown Kenosha on July 1.
One of the men who shot one of the videos confirmed its authenticity to The Journal Times and, in the video, the teen throwing the punches is wearing the same red, white and blue crocs Rittenhouse is shown wearing in a photo that was posted on Facebook of himself holding a gun. Facebook has since blocked all searches on its site for the name "Kyle Rittenhouse," but videos and posts can still be searched on Twitter.
In the videos, two females are shown arguing in a parking lot in Downtown Kenosha.

In the the first video, the teen identified as Rittenhouse and several other young males are shown watching two females (ages unknown) argue. One of the females, wearing a white tank top and short shorts, says that another female, wearing slippers and sweatpants, touched her.
Moments later, the argument escalates as the teen identified as Rittenhouse and another male begin exchanging words with the female in sweatpants. Seconds after that, the female in sweatpants starts scuffling with a third female.
Rittenhouse then appears to land several punches on the female in sweatpants as another male nearby tries unsuccessfully to hold Rittenhouse back.
At that point, the males filming — identified on Facebook as Reese Granville and Cj Wakefield, both of Kenosha — and several others jump out of their respective vehicles and run in.
Granville confirmed to The Journal Times the date and location of the fight. Videos on Facebook show that Wakefield also was at protests in Downtown Kenosha this past week. Both Granville and Wakefield have said, based on what they witnessed and recorded, that the person throwing punches in their videos is Rittenhouse.

The second video shows Rittenhouse, wearing red-white-and-blue trunks and shoes, being kicked several times. One male can be heard saying “Do not put your hands on a female (expletive)” moments before the fight breaks up. A third video, shared by Granville, has little visual information (since the phone's camera appears to be covered) but includes audio of a woman yelling, "Hey stop!"
Granville told The Journal Times in a message that he doesn't know what led to the fight. He said he was just driving past, saw what was going on and started recording.
According to Lin Wood, who has identified himself as Rittenhouse’s defense attorney: Rittenhouse acquired the firearm that was used to kill Anthony Huber and Joseph Rosenbaum from a friend in Wisconsin, and the firearm never crossed state lines.

Wood is arguing that Rittenhouse acted in self-defense. Videos taken Tuesday show that both Huber and Rosenbaum were running at Rittenhouse when the fatal shots were fired; after Rosenbaum had already been shot, Huber had been attempting to hit Rittenhouse with a skateboard when he was shot in the chest.
Online court records do not show Wood or any other attorney representing Rittenhouse, as of 10:55 a.m. Saturday. Wood's office did not immediately reply to a request for comment Saturday.

Cory and Rebecca are property tax cheats! And Da Common Council allows it. City Assessor Bill Bowersox is inept, corrupt, and incompelent.

Half-Dozen Democrat Mayors In Minnesota Endorse Trump, Say Biden 'Did Nothing' For Working Class

From ZeroHedge:

The Democratic mayors of six small towns in Minnesota have rejected Joe Biden as having 'moved too far to the left,' and are instead supporting President Trump, according to Breitbart.
"Like many in our region, we have voted for Democrats over many decades," reads a Friday letter from Mayors Larry Cuffe of Virginia (city), John Champa of Chisholm, Chuck Novak of Ely, Chris Swanson of Two Harbors, Robert Vlaisavljevich of Eveleth and Andrea Zupancich of Babbit.
Under Democrats, they continue, "We have watched as our constituents' jobs left not only the Iron Rage, but our country. By putting tariffs on our products and supporting  bad  trade  deals,  politicians  like  Joe  Biden  did  nothing  to  help  the  working  classWe lost thousands of jobs, and generations of young people have left the Iron Range in order to provide for their families with good paying jobs elsewhere."
Today, we don't recognize the Democratic PartyIt has been moved so far to the left it can no longer claim to be advocates of the working class. The hard-working Minnesotans that built their lives and supported their families here on the Range have been abandoned by radical Democrats. We didn’t choose to leave the Democratic Party, the party left us.
Yet, four years ago, something wonderful happened. Donald J. Trump was elected President of the United States, and he stood up to China, implemented tax cuts and fought for the working class. Now, four years later, the Iron Range is roaring back to life and for the first time in a very long time, locals are hopeful because of this President's policies and willingness to fight for us. Lifelong politicians like Joe Biden are out of touch with the working class, out of touch with what the country needs, and out of touch with those of us here on the Iron Range and in small towns like ours across our nation.
The letter ends with a formal endorsement of President Trump for "four more years."

Armed neighborhood watch group forms to protect Kenosha subdivision

PETE WICKLUND Lee Newspapers

Gilbert, left, and Jason patrol the entrance of their Kenosha subdivision.
About a 10-minute drive from Downtown Kenosha, two men stood this week with AR-15 firearms protecting their subdivision.
The armed men were Jason and Gilbert, part of a group of about 10 residents of the subdivision that have been out nights since Tuesday protecting their neighborhood in light of the unrest in Kenosha.
Despite the we-mean-business message the group conveys to passing motorists, The men were anything but threatening Thursday night. They were sincere in their concern for their neighbors and city.
“All we’re doing is making sure the community here is able to go asleep, sleep fine and are not worried about anything,” Gilbert said.
Gilbert cradles an AR-15 firearm while standing guard Thursday night outside his Kenosha subdivision.
Gilbert, who has lived in the area for 18 years, got involved after seeing other members of the neighborhood guard assembling Tuesday.
The effort was launched after a Neighborhood Watch meeting held in the wake of violence that ensued largely in the city's Downtown and Uptown districts after the police shooting Aug. 23 of Jacob Blake.
“We had a neighborhood Watch meeting, about 20 of us assembled and talked about what we should do," said Jason, who has lived in the neighborhood about 20 years.
Several ideas were thrown about and what was initially settled on was if sentrys in the neighborhood saw potential trouble, they would drive through the subdivision and honk their horns so residents would know something was happening.

8:15 p.m.: Trump to visit Kenosha on Tuesday

President Donald Trump will visit Kenosha on Tuesday after the city has gone three nights without any unrest, according to a White House pool report.
The announcement comes a day after Trump addressed the Kenosha Police Department’s shooting of Jacob Blake for the first time.
After a rally in New Hampshire on Friday, Trump said of the shooing: “It was not a good sight. I didn’t like the sight of it, certainly, and I think most people would agree with that,” according to CNN.
Trump referenced Kenosha during the Republican National Convention but did not make specific remarks about the shooting that left Blake, 29, paralyzed from the waist down after being shot seven times in the back at point-blank range by Kenosha Officer Rusten Sheskey on Aug. 23.
During a press conference Saturday, Trump was asked if he would visit the city and he said “probably so,” because of the presence of National Guard troops.
“With Kenosha it’s been in very, very good shape from the moment they set foot in that area,” he said.
National Guard troops first arrived in Kenosha on Monday, but unrest persisted in the city the following two nights. On Tuesday night, two people were fatally shot and a third was injured. Kyle Rittenhouse, 17, of Antioch, Ill., has been charged in connection to the killings.
When asked about that shooting Saturday, Trump said he would comment on it in 24 to 48 hours after receiving more information.
Since Tuesday’s shooting, the number of National Guard troops has swelled to more than a thousand, with others from the states of Michigan, Alabama and Arizona on the way, according to Major General Paul Knapp.

8 p.m.: Kenosha speaker strays from message, says "it's time for us to kill one of yours."

Saturday's peaceful march through Kenosha concluded with a variety of speakers calling for justice and peaceful resolutions after Jacob Blake was shot in the back seven times by a police officer Aug. 23.
But one of the last speakers given the microphone, who was not identified, had a more aggressive message: "If you kill one of ours, it’s time for us to kill one of yours. I know everybody don’t want to hear that. But (expletive), why are we the ones who have to keep burying ours and got to keep clean for you to see us as being human? We ain't never did nothing to nobody.”
The remarks were met with a muted response from the crowd, which numbered in the thousands.
Earlier speakers included members of Blake's family, state officials and local leaders, who encouraged the crowd to demand justice and accountability from officials and to vote.
Blake's father, also named Jacob Blake, called for civility:
“If we tear it up, we have nothing,” Blake Sr. said. “I don’t want you all to be homeless. I don’t want you to be store-less. I don’t want you not to be able to buy your sons, daughters and grandbabies the food and the milk that they need ... show them for one night, we don’t have to tear up nothing.”

Saturday, 3:30 p.m.: Thousands march in Kenosha with Blake family, state leaders

Thousands of people gathered in Kenosha on Saturday to march down Sheridan Road towards the county courthouse, where protests have centered for much of the last week.
The march included speeches from the sister and father of Jacob Blake, 29, who was shot seven times in the back by Kenosha place on Aug. 23. U.S. Rep. Gwen Moore and Lt. Gov. Mandela Barnes also addressed the crowd.
Speaking from a microphone outside the courthouse, Blake's father, also named Jacob Blake, asked the Kenosha Police Department, "What gives you the right to treat my son like an animal?"
He implored the crowd to stay peaceful after the rally and to also vote in the upcoming November election.
“We’re going to make legislation happen because that’s all that they recognize.”

'God said: Do a Kenosha barbeque. We did:' Uptown Kenosha church holds community event

From The Journal Times.com:

Rachel Kubik

KENOSHA — The only building left undamaged on the west side of the 6100 block of 22nd Avenue in Uptown is Kingdom Word Global Impact Ministries, a storefront church in what used to be a Salvation Army store. That building became the center for community on Saturday.

People shuffled through lines of stocked tables, grabbing food, water, school supplies, diapers, hygiene products and more. Music played as people gathered to eat and relax.

All items were donated by people in the community. Volunteers stood behind tables serving food and handing out supplies. A local Culver’s set up a booth and gave out free frozen custard as well.

On that same block, a free BBQ event took place Saturday, intended for people recovering from the past week’s events.

Kingdom Word Pastor David Montgomery helped coordinate the event, which he said was a success: “I think we are achieving our objective, Kingdom Word’s and God’s Kitchen’s … we’re becoming a distribution center for the Uptown area and we’re definitely getting a lot of love from the community.”

Uptown was the center of rioting and fires on Monday, with the west side of 22nd Avenue from 61st Street south to Roosevelt Road burning.

People began dropping off donations the day after the fire.

This was the fourth day of helping those who needed it, Montgomery said. “It started small, and today it’s just gotten to the point where it’s just large. They (people of Uptown) need the help. It was already an impoverished area anyway.”

Arnetta Griffin is a member of the church and has been providing meals and supplies for homeless people and others in need in the Uptown neighborhood for the past three years through God’s Kitchen of Kenosha.

“God said: 'Do this. Do a Kenosha barbeque.’ We did a Kenosha barbeque,” Griffin said. “The community really came together. That’s why I love Kenosha … because when times get hard, our neighbors is here.”

Montgomery said people often have to gather their mindset when devastation hits.

“They are trying to gather the fact that they used to always go to the ice cream shop here and they would sell tacos and food. Now they can’t go there,” he said. “They’d go to the grocery store. Now they can’t get diapers, they can’t get toiletries. (This BBQ) is really just being a supplement.”

Kenosha resident Joy Latuvnik-Morin said she came to the event on Saturday because “it’s our community, I’m a person of color, we’re gay,” she said, sitting under a tree next to her wife, Marianne Latuvnik-Morin, with a plate of food. “This is what we’re working for, is to have community, trust and everybody just coming together and helping each other out.”

“It’s nice to know that the community can come back after everything that’s been done, as strong as we have,” Marianne added.
