As a child, I spent a lot of time in front of the TV, and a fair amount of time at the movies. I soon was watching every movie that might feature city scenes from that era. I loved looking at shots of streets crowded with traffic and people. The old buildings transfixed me. I felt I was right there. I still do.
I've looked and looked. Do you know who I'm looking for? I think I'm looking for me. I can't explain it, but that's the only thing that feels right. I'm comfortable with it. Like I lived there and then. It just feels right.

The 20's always did that for me. Something about the style, not necessarily the "flapper" style, but even the hats, the button boots, ladies suits and elegant jewelry. Maybe it is the simplicity of black and white, or the simplicity of the times?
Perhaps what is missing in our present times that was present in the twenties, thirties, fourties and even the fifties is the outlook for the future. The future beamed with prosperity and hope back then. Today we listen and watch self-centered minds in both sides of the political spectrum destroying the future of our great nation. One more comment I just heard, Flipper has taken offense to the flapper smear
