Happy Saint Patrick's Day

Why can't we do that with Root River?

Don't forget the St. Patrick's Day Parade at noon in downtown Racine:

The festivities start at 10 AM. Green beer in Monument Square. Green puke in the toilet bowl (hopefully) later on.

Doesn't the Root River naturally have a greenish cast? j/k.

No green beer for me. How does that seem appealing? Remember to be sensible if you are out celebrating. The police will be watching extra closely (as they should) for those who are driving under the influence.

I never understood the green beer thing. I mean, I understand that green is the color of St. Paddy's, but the Irish don't dye their beer green.

Why don't we dye it red, white and blue for the 4th of July?
