Indepedence Road

It's that time of the year to go out and look at Christmas lights. On the western side of Racine, we a subdivision that we affectionately call Independence Road. On this street and the other surrounding ones, EVERY house is all decked up for the holidays. Dazzling! Should've worn my sunglasses!

Yeah, that's the Christmas spirit! Thanks for the pics, drew. I've driven that area in past Christmases. The pink flamingos pulling Santa's sleigh are great.

They do a fantastic job out there. I made sure to take my kids through there every year when they were little. Thanks for the post!

They must have gotten more now. I remember going through there many years ago and every house was lit up, but then when I was there some 5 years ago I remember thinking that it was not as many houses lit up as before.
I miss being there for Christmas and all the lights.. it's good fun. Hopefully I will be there with my girls one year, I'm sure they would think it's wonderful. Swedes don't really do it the same..

If you can afford it, the display at Yogi Bear's ($13.00 per carload) is absolutly beautiful, and worth every penny.
