I watched the girls (ladies) Freestyle Skiing Mogul competition, totally amazing. Those girls kick ass.

I find the Olympic coverage overly nationalistic, overly dramatized inspirational stories of overcoming obstacles with lots of slow motion acting and dramatic music, jingoistic, U.S. centric, tape delayed bore that hardly shows any of the actual events.
NBCs Olympic Coverage: The Worst Damn Sports Team on Television.
Sad part is, I would enjoy some of the events if they actually showed anything resembling real sports coverage of them.
I have to admit, I've been watching most of it. And truth be told, I've enjoyed all of it.
Oh...! That's why the Buffalo Wild Wings parking lot was full.
I watch some of them..the short skaters, etc. They make it seem so easy. I bet I could skate too.

I've been watching and enjoying. These athletes work so hard to make it there, you can't help but be inspired.
I guess the syrup and sentimental stories are something you have to put up with. Journalism and politics are so dirty!
I don't suffer fools lightly...and American Olypmic coverage is quite foolish :)
When I lived in Michigan during grad school, I would watch the CBC coverage and found it much better. Sadly, my friends in that area tell me the CBC is much closer to NBC now. If I could find a good stream of international coverage, I would watch. Maybe the Australians...they don't have a lot of winter sports there so they probably don't have a dog in the fight and might do all right.
Uh-oh, mom is pissed now. The Olympics preempted her soaps.
I like the picture. The skier has the same expression I had the first time I went downhill.......but at the time I didn't know what the hell I was doing!
