The NWS is going to have a problem. Every time there is the potential for a tornado, they issue a warning, and the sirens go off, and no tornado. Its almost getting to be like the boy who cried wolf. I can appreciate their vigilance and concern, but eventually the sirens are going fall on deaf ears and no one will give a shit.

I agree. It's one of my pet peeves - the NWS now "sensationalizes" the weather. It's the same trend you see on TV news, which I rarely watch anymore. I sent the NWS an email expressing my thoughts a few years ago and they replied with a condescending message that tut-tutted my concerns. I get tired of their "100% chance" forecasts turning into ash in their mouths.
