feeling a bit like a hamster running on the wheel, not getting anywhere, I think I just need sleep... at least I only work a shorty today, then get productive for a couple hours, then back to bed. I think it'll be a 2 benadryl kinda night :)

Another day or two of high 80's and then a cold front with rain. Am looking forward to that.

Hope you feel better soon LM. I can't imagine going through what you do.

Good Morning Irregulars!
On a pretty day all "I wanna a dooo ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh ohhhhh
is....love you!"

I really appreciate all of you for all the laughs you have given me
as next week is my first anniversary to blogging. I'm thinking back that I have never smiled so much since I have been on this site.

Congratulations, BLB on your one year anniversary blogging! I'm glad if we brought you, or anyone else, a smile.

Thanks for the well wishes. No draining of fluids at the doctor today, but I did get poked with the flu shot. We just talked. I'll have labs again in a month and then see him again in two.

I hope everyone is enjoying this great weather. We won't see too many more days like this this year.

Absolutely lovely weather, today! I wish it could last forever.

Congratulations, BLB, on your 1 year anniversary with us! We enjoy your addition to the site. You've brought us giggles and smiles, as well.

Today was ultimate crazy day #2 in a row. Sometimes I totally can not believe what I do for a living.

I still need to get my flu shot. There is no way I can handle another sickness like I picked up last year!

I think it's early to get a flu shot, but they offered it. Apparently, there are more than one type of flu shot offered this season. There is the standard shot (which I got) and then there are ones that also work on additional strains of the flu. My doc said those are too experimental.

kk, I'm surprised that you want the shot. Didn't you use to be against it? I got it last year and still got the flu. They said the effectiveness of last year's vaccine for people over 65 was extremely low, like below 20%. Sometimes I think that we survive despite our healthcare system, not because of it.

I was never really against the vaccine. I had always figured that I received a bit of immunity and had a steel-like immune system from all the germs I take in from all the children over the course of the flu season.

From what I've understood from the health professionals I used to work with, if you get one every 7 years or so, you are fairly covered as the vaccine changes very little over the years.

Last year, I passed, because I had a minor cold when it was offered. And then the BIG one hit me. I can't say for sure that the "flu" was what started off my problems?

I will take it this year, if possible. I guess I feel more vulnerable after having that pneumonia and complications last year. I sure don't want to take any risks. That was deadly.
