"Sugar"

From Racine County Corruption:

This is a blog entry from Racine County Corruption in its entirety:

Warning

Contents of this blog's images may be deemed

offensive and disturbing to readers.

On or about January 16th, 2017, RCC filed an open records request into the City of Racine Police Department.

RCC received approximately 42 pages of documents and 77 pictures on a disc. Included in the documents was a 4 page "in house" Weapons Discharge Review.
The public records request focused on the actions of police during a no-knock search warrant executed in the 2000 block of Kearney Avenue in the city of Racine on November 30th. 2016.

During the execution of the search warrant, a dog named Sugar was "dispatched" by police.

According to the documents obtained from the public records request; The City of Racine Police executed the no-knock warrant at 5:03 am on Wednesday, November 30th, 2016. seeking an unidentified .40 caliber firearm (handgun).

This no-knock search warrant was based on an ongoing investigation of an attempted homicide on 11-15-2016 that took place in the 1700 block of Washington Ave.

Racine Police along with SWAT, SIU, COP, Gang Unit,  FBI Southeastern Wisconsin Regional Gang Task Force and an MPPD officer executed the warrant.

The target of the search warrant was a .40 caliber handgun which was allegedly used by a 17 year old juvenile in an attempted murder.  The 17 year old was a suspect in several shootings involving a dispute among rival street gangs, including the Dirty P gang, of which the suspect was alleged by Racine Police to be a member.

The search warrant yielded two suspects, both juveniles who were found in the basement.  Authorities apprehended the two suspects and held them for questioning.

Evidence collected during the search included the following;
 Apple I-pad,

Apple I-phone
ZTE brand touch screen cell phone with shattered face
LG brand touch screen cell phone with shattered face
2 DNA Buccal swabs.

Out of approximately 15 officers involved in the executed search warrant, only one officer in the documents referenced marijuana and stated the following;

"Immediately upon entry into the residence I detected an odor of burnt or freshly-smoked marijuana throughout the entire residence".  This officer (Sergeant %%%)  was the SWAT team leader.

Throughout the reports,  there is no mention of any drug evidence collected during the search, nor was the target .40 caliber handgun located during the execution of the search warrant.

Whether any data was collected from the confiscated phones or I-Pad is unknown to the writer at this time.

Here are a few excerpts from the reports:

"the team breacher forced entry to the front door.  I immediately announce in a clear, loud voice "Police. Search Warrant." I made my way inside to the living room and immediately saw a large white dog jump from the couch and run through a threshold to my left."
“It is common knowledge that persons involved in illegal activity own large, vicious dogs to not only guard against rival criminals but also to impede law enforcement should they be a target of a search warrant”.
"The dog had a delivery system for utilization of the weapon(functioning legs to advance on the entry team, working jaws which was evident by the dog's K-9 teeth which were displayed, no obstructions between SWAT operator Sergeant ### and the dog".

"The dog presented an "imminent threat" to SWAT operator Sergeant ### and the entry team as a whole"

"My assignment was the #1 position in the first cell on the entry team.  I was armed with my department issued M4 rifle and dressed in full SWAT police uniform and body armor"
( Sergeant ### who "dispatched" Sugar)

According to information gleaned from the reports about the dog;  When police forcefully entered the house, the dog jumped off of the living room couch and ran away thru a hallway into a bedroom.

A SWAT officer fully equipped with body armor and an M4 assault rifle followed the dog thru the hallway and entered the threshold of the bedroom.  The dog was trapped with no other avenues of escape.

The dog growled, displayed its teeth and moved towards the SWAT officer.  The SWAT officer (Sergeant ###) fearing an imminent threat "dispatched"(executed) the dog, discharging 5 rounds from his M4 assault rifle at the dog.

Racine Police conducted an "in house" review of the incident and found the actions of the SWAT team to be appropriate and justified.
(the "in house review" was conducted by the team leader of  SWAT, Sergeant %%%)

For additional information concerning this incident;

http://journaltimes.com/news/local/police-say-actions-justified-in-dog-shooting/article_00f970ba-7ea4-5b3d-b07a-04f050c25013.html

Now for RCC's take on this event and the police
"in house review".

We hardly consider a dog to be an imminent threat to a fully attired SWAT officer complete with body armor. That argument is both ludicrous and just plain laughable.

Understanding the dynamics of a high intensity no - knock search warrant may help us in assessing the decision the officer made when he shot the dog.  Before the dog was shot, the room had yet to be secured, so there was a possibility others could have been hiding in the room waiting for the right opportunity to do harm.

The "dispatching" officer stated in his report:
"the animal showed its teeth, growled and charged in my direction.  Fearing an imminent threat for my safety and the safety of my teammates, I fired three rounds from my rifle as the animal then turned away from me. I could tell I struck the animal 1-3 times. The dog out of view behind the bed, then jumped on the bed and came toward me again.  Fearing an imminent threat for my safety and the safety of my teammates, I fired one round which had an immediate effect, stopping the animal and its advance towards me. the dog was laying on the bed incapacitated but breathing heavily with its eyes open. I was under the impression that, although the animal was fatally wounded , it was potentially suffering.  As a humane measure, I approached and fired one last round in the animal's head which stopped its movement altogether".

A dog friendly(smarter) officer may have used a less than lethal tactic by using his M4 assault rifle to blunt, block or lightly batter the dog to thwart and discourage any possible attack from the dog.
The M4 is a durable weapon and the choice of most of the U.S. armed forces.  When the M4 used like a bō, it can be used to block, thrust and strike a dog to deter or thwart its aggressive behavior
So the officer made the choice to "dispatch" the dog instead of using "less than lethal tactics" when one clear choice was available.

To compound the issues:

The Racine Police Department "in house" Weapons Discharge  Review  was conducted by the same SWAT team leader
(Sergeant %%%%) who led the SWAT team during the incident.
In his "in house" report to Racine Police Deputy Chief John Polzin, Sergeant %%% determined that the actions of SWAT were appropriate and justified.

He got to investigate himself
HOW CONVENIENT IS THAT?

"Idaho boy injured, family dog killed by government 'cyanide bomb'"

By Laura Zuckerman

"SALMON, Idaho (Reuters) - A 'cyanide bomb' planted by U.S. predator-control agents targeting coyotes near homes and hiking trails in Idaho exploded when a boy handled the device, injuring him and killing his dog, authorities and relatives said on Friday.

'Canyon Mansfield, 14, was playing with his yellow Labrador retriever, Casey, on Thursday afternoon near his home east of Pocatello when he saw what he thought was a sprinkler head on the ground and touched the device, causing it to detonate.

'The explosion sprayed the boy and his 3-year-old, 90-pound (40 kg) pet with toxic cyanide gas, according to the boy's mother, Theresa Mansfield.

"'Canyon said there was a bang like a bomb, then an explosion of an orange substance that covered him and Casey, who was writhing in pain on the ground before he died right in front of Canyon,' she said.

"Her husband, Pocatello physician Mark Mansfield, rushed to the scene and pounded on the dog’s chest in a futile effort to revive the animal.

"The family and first-responders underwent decontamination procedures and the boy, who was sprayed in the face, was tested for cyanide poisoning at a hospital for the second time Friday, officials and family members said.

"The device, called an M-44, was among several placed in the area by Wildlife Services, an arm of the U.S. Department of Agriculture that targets coyotes, wolves, cougars, foxes and other animals considered nuisances to farms and ranches.

"The agency has been sued by conservation groups claiming that its programs to poison, trap and shoot various predator species violate federal environmental and wildlife protection laws."

I must say that I fond it insane that the government is planting cyanide filled landmines out west.  How long before someone is killed by one of these?  Want to know what it feels like when a landmine goes off underfoot?  I have a buddy who stepped on one in the Vietnam War.  To this day, tiny pieces of shrapnel still work their way into his colon.  He'll take a poop and hear the "tink" of metal hitting the bowl. He can't have an MRI - it would pull all the metal out of him.

Must be Dog Days on the JTI.

"Uproar in New Zealand after sniffer dog shot"

Christ, you'd think it was Racine or something.

Four for Fridays!

I am so sorry I am posting this late it is because Drew has today off of work and I was actually able to sleep in for a day. It was really nice not to hear the alarm clock go off for a day. Here are your questions for today.

1) Do you have any St. Patrick Day plans?

2) What are your plans for St. Patrick's Day?

3) If you go out for St. Patrick's Day do you have a designated driver?

4) What kind of dinner do you have for St. Patrick's Day?

I hope everyone has a very safe St. Patrick's day.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Wednesday, March 15, 2017

Dear Madame Zoltar

Hello to my friends about to get drunk on Friday on green beer.  Moderation is the key.  Salute St. Patrick, but don't make a drunk out of it. Have a couple beers, but  that's it.  No one really likes green puke, anyway.  If you have to hurl, hurl somewhere on the green landscape.  Everything is poking out of the snow, especially nearer the home.  Heat and sunshine are all it takes.  Darken up those areas, for that attracts the sun.  They should be unfrozen within a day.  Fish, fish, fish!  All the fish you  could ever want unfrozen in a day.  Something smells fishy to me about our agreement.  Something smells fishy about my online terms.  Real money, OK?  Not lukewarm promises that never come true.

What the hell happened to all of the plow drivers this morning?  I was out from 10 a.m to noon and never saw a government plow.  Apparently, they're saving up for major snow removal tonight.  I hope so.  Some highways were impassable because of the drifting snow.

Clean up the roads, boys, and on Friday you get green beer.  Please have a designated driver, and get shit faced.  When I've been the designated driver, I don't even go into the place(s).  I drop my friends off and tell them to call me when they're ready to go.  I've never found it interesting to watch someone else get drunk.  I'd rather go online and await the call in a few hours.  I can nap, too.  Whatever.  St. Patrick's Day has become a big, hyped-up mess, like most of our holidays now.  It certainly condones the consumption of alcohol, and lots of it.  Just like most of our holidays.  Most Wisconsinites don't need too much prodding to have a shot and a beer or two on any given day.  No wonder our highway fatalities compare poorly with other states.

The liquor lobby in Wisconsin is huge and multifaceted.  One way or another, you're going to pay.  You can pay now while it's clean and easy, or wait until it's a mess.  No matter what else happens this time of year, St. Paddy's is a great day for a cop to hustle and/or drink.  Just don't push it.  Let it unfold, instead.  This Friday.  Be there or be square. The best of the state vs. the best of the rebels  Wow.

I'll bet you that my dad is working in a bookie joint.  That's where this road leads.  Want out?  Contact  madamezoltar@jtirregulars.com

Well, the JT Irregulars wish that the road may rise up to meet you as you fall on your drunken face.

"From Downtown"

From The Shepherd Express:

By Art Kumbalek  6 hours ago

I’m Art Kumbalek and man oh manischewitz what a world, ain’a?

So listen, as a guy of Polish plus who-knows-what-the-fock heritage, you won’t catch me blowing my party horn this time of the year, here in the throes of St. Patrick’s Week-and-a-focking-Half, I kid you not.

But this year, for personal health reasons, neither will you catch me pissing and moaning about all the blarney, malarkey and Irish hoopla. I figure my blood pressure would be blessed if I were perhaps a wee bit more charitable toward those who fancy the Emerald Isle for whatever reason. And so I will, for once, not whip out my familiar chestnuts, such as the reason the Irish are known as great storytellers is for the centuries-long need to dream up yet another excuse for being late to work. Nor will I query the riddle as to why the Irish have all the potatoes, and the Arabs all the oil. (FYI: Shortly after the Lord banished mankind from Eden, he offered the Irish first pick.)

Nae, instead I offer the following story so as to assist, rather than hinder, in fertilizing the garden of cultural unity (and if you’ve heard it before, now you’ll hear it again, what the fock):

John O’Reilly hoisted his beer and said, “Here's to spending the rest of me life, between the legs of me wife!” And that won him the top prize for the best toast of that night at the pub. He was so thrilled that he went home and told his wife, Mary, “Good news! I won the prize for the best toast of the night!” And Mary asks, “Aye, and what was your toast, husband?” John said, “Here’s to spending the rest of me life, sitting in church beside me wife.”

“Oh, that is very nice indeed, John!” said Mary. The next day on the street, Mary ran into one of John’s toasting buddies. The man chuckled leeringly and said, “Did you know, Mary, that John won the prize the other night with a toast about you?”
And Mary said, “Aye, and I was a bit surprised me’self! You know, he’s only been there twice! Once he fell asleep, and the other time I had to pull him by the ears to make him come.” Ba-ding!

Hold on a second. It’s the phone. I got to take this ’cause it might be my doctor. Be right back.

OK. It’s not my doc. It’s my buddy Little Jimmy Iodine. I’ll be off in a second.

“Cripes, Jimmy. I can’t talk now. I got to crank out my essay and I only got 10 minutes ’til the paper has to have it.”

“Yeah yeah, Artie. Listen, I’m in this pool for the basketball where these kids in the college have a tournament. Sixty-four focking schools. And I got to fill out this big honking chart where I’m supposed to choose who the heck’s going to win each and every game. I might even win a buck two-eighty. I remember one year there was a team nicknamed the Aztecs. The Aztecs, I shit you not. You think they sacrifice a virgin for good luck before every game, Artie?”

“Couldn’t tell you, Jimmy. College kids can get pretty wild and cavalier, though.”

“Anyways, I’m working on this chart with the brackets. I’m figuring this, I’m figuring that. Hours and hours and hours. I finally work my way to the last game of the Final Four, where they play for the championship. Guess what? I got N.C. Central/UC Davis against N.C. Central/UC Davis, and that can’t be right, ain’a Artie?”

“It’s a long shot, Jimmy.”

“Jeez louise, now I got to go back and do the whole dang thing over, ain’a? At least it gives me something to do at work. See you.”

And speaking of madness in March, this week Our Town will again play host to the first couple rounds of the Big Dance and so welcome, you collegiate fans, students, hangers-on and alumni of the Bulldogs, Eagles, Golden focking Gophers, Blue Raiders, Boilermakers, Catamounts, Cyclones and Wolfpack.

You’s people need to remember two things as you visit Brew City. One: This is not New York, the City that Never Sleeps. This is Milwaukee, the City that Always Sweeps. So, after you puke your nacho-beer guts out on the sidewalk, be it on North Water Street or Old World Third Street, please mop up your mess—and that goes double for you’s knobshine candy-asses from Minneapolis, Minne-focking-sota—thank you. Two: Just so you know, that any one of you eight jag teams trying to make a basket at our soon-extinct Bradley Center would-and-will get your student-athlete ass reamed but good if you should come up against our Badgers or our Golden Eagles somewheres down the line. Book it.

And yeah, I filled out a bracket this year. Like always, I might’ve over-thunk it. Somehow I got Electoral College going up against Bryant & Stratton College in the final with EC winning by a majority, what the fock ’cause I’m Art Kumbalek and I told you so.

American Health Insurance

Submitted by legal stranger:

American Health Insurance......

The medical community is unable to reach consensus on what to do with
America's health insurance situation.

The Allergists were in favor of scratching it, but the Dermatologists
advised not to make any rash moves.

The Gastroenterologists had sort of a gut feeling about it, but the
Neurologists thought the Administration had a lot of nerve.

Meanwhile, Obstetricians felt certain everyone was laboring under a
misconception, while the Ophthalmologists considered the idea shortsighted.

Pathologists yelled, "Over my dead body!" while the Pediatricians said, "Oh,
grow up!"

The Psychiatrists thought the whole idea was madness, while the Radiologists
could see right through it.

Surgeons decided to wash their hands of the whole thing and the Internists
claimed it would indeed be a bitter pill to swallow.

The Plastic Surgeons opined that this proposal would "put a whole new face
on the matter."

The Podiatrists thought it was a step forward, but the Urologists were
pissed off at the whole idea.

Anesthesiologists thought the whole idea was a gas, and those lofty
Cardiologists didn’t have the heart to say no.

In the end, the Proctologists won out, leaving the entire decision up to the
Assholes in Washington.

Pictures from the Weekend!

This past weekend we decided last minute to take a trip up north. Drew wanted to see if he could find some birds that he has not been able to find yet and they are winter birds. So I called his mom and we went up there Friday when he got off of work. It was so nice to see the family because we have not been up there since Christmas. We even stopped and seen my son and the grandkids. Here are some pictures to share with you.

This is a picture of a Bald Eagle we seen it between Black Creek Wi and Nicholas Wi on 3-10-2017.

Good morning everyone how have you been doing. All is good with Drew and I we hope everything is good with all of you. Here are your questions.

1) Do you like people that tailgate you?

2) Do you tailgate other people?

3) When you have someone that is tailgating you do you slam your brakes on?

4) When you have someone that is tailgating you do you purposely do the speed limit to make them mad?

We hope you have a great weekend.

Let's Dance!

Dear Madame Zoltar

Hello, my P's and Q's!  How are you?  The weather roller coaster is going to run flat in the 30'a for awhile.  Still, hardly a winter to complain about.  I wish we had more snow cover for the landscape and the animals.  The last I heard, we were still below normal for snow.  God, I hate driving in the stuff, but I don't want to kill any protected animals or properties.  It can become quite difficult when you start comparing products or services for snow removal and related chores.  Next year, I'm hiring a snow removal service.  Señor Zanza  does an outstanding job, but neither he nor I should be doing snow removal.  Junior is useless.  Let the youngsters do it.

Señor Zanza's work is much better than mine.  I wonder if he'd hire out?  He could probably make a few bucks.  Enough for a night on the town, or two.  Ha.  Like I said, I don't think he should even be doing it.  There's a time for everything, and the time now is to relax.

The ongoing war between Mr. Trump and the media makes its own news.  It's kind of interesting to wonder at the beginning of the day how our government will look at the end of the day.  Governing via Tweet.  He's definitely a man for our times.

Well, I don't know, but I'm finding charges of Soviet intervention in our vote occurred.  Handsome with a shirt on or not, Putin needs a kick in the ass.  Conspiring with Putin is Mr. Trump, who is all ass.

I want an independent investigation of Trump's relationship with Putin, if that's possible.  I like the idea of growing stronger ties with Russia, but not at the expense of honesty and openness.  If we're just going to accept the BS that the Soviets pump out in a day, we might as well become them.  "Da."  "Nyet."

I'd also like an independent investigation into lying John's dealings.  Our Common Council just OKed spending $600,000 just to look at the arena and events center lying John is ramming down out throats.  It's a done deal.  They're just doing the dance.

Well, I'm a done deal, too.  Thank you all for reading my blog this week.  I love readers, who soon become friends.

Who's more grandiose, Putin or Trump?  Ask madamezoltar@jtirregulars.com

Spring is coming.  Really.  This weekend we push our clocks ahead one hour.  We're getting there.  It just takes one step at a time.

"Nyet Worth"

From The Shepherd Express:

By Art Kumbalek  1 hours ago

I’m Art Kumbalek and man oh manischewitz what a world, ain’a? So listen, I hope your Lenten season got off to a hell of a lot smoother start than mine own did. I’ll tell you’s, the first Wednesday evening of this month it dawned on me: “Hey nitwit, it’s been Ash Wednesday all day long and you haven’t even begun to think about what to swear off all the way ’til Easter, for christ sakes.” Yeah, I may be a way-out-of-practice Catholic, but the one practice I still show up for is the practice of giving up some penny-ante practice or two for Lent in hopes my piddling sacrifice may be enough to leave Heaven’s door cracked at least an iota or two, what the fock.

So there I was, Ash Wednesday, 8 p.m., hankering to give up something, pronto. Smoking? Yeah, fat focking chance. I was already into my second pack, Jack. Drinking? That’s a good one. Like I said, I was aiming for leaving the Pearly Gate cracked, not sainthood. My weekly essay for this here newspaper? Ding-ding-ding-ding!

Which is to say, unless I fall off the writing wagon or am threatened with job dismissal for focking following my religious beliefs, you won’t see me shining around this page ’til after Easter, April 16, praise the lord.

But before I go, allow me to pronounce that with Dairyland’s gubernatorial election coming up like a bad burrito next year, that I’m all in as your candidate of choice, you betcha. And my first order of biz as your new state overlord—just as it’s been for my last several candidacies for the office—would be to reduce the law-abiding age from 21 to 16 for when a Badgerite could plant his or her booty atop a barstool, order a nice bourbon and tell the bartender to leave the bottle, and I’ll tell you why.

Like I’ve said in the past, having a couple, three belts never fails to make me feel like a focking adult with something to say, and I can’t imagine it also wouldn’t turn the same trick with any snotnose katzenjammers currently ’neath the age of 21; and lord knows they sure as hell can use any passkey to adulthood we can give them, what with their delinquent ways and inability to afford higher education. The sooner we get them into the world of adults where we can keep a focking eye on them, the better. That’s why.

As Guv, I’d choose to put kids in bars instead of behind bars. Let them come down to the tavern to sit down with the regulars, the men and women who belly-up to the bar day in, day out; let these kids sit down, have a few and listen to the voice of smoky experience, the voice that says, “Kid, you’re not so focking tough. For starters, you’re mixing good booze with soda. I could drink you under a table anywhere, and still be able to adjust the color on my TV.”

And then these kids could take this alcoholic knowledge and stamina with them when they get carted overseas to fight with the terrorists. I ask you: These acts of terror around the world these days? The work of sober people, plain and simple. Uptight, cork-in-the-butt, sober people.

Let me reiterate: It’s been said that alcohol loosens the inhibitions. No focking kidding, why else to drink it, ain’a? All I’m saying is that if these terror nuts drank, maybe it’d loosen their inhibition toward acting like regular normal sane people who, if nothing else, know that bombs, mortars and children don’t mix.

I believe that enforced mandatory drinking ’cross the globe might be the real key to combating nut terror activity. The drinking man knows that no matter what abso-focking-lutely needs to be done can always wait ’til tomorrow, or the day after or even the day after that, what the fock, what’s the hurry.

Should everybody drink as much as they can, all the time? Perhaps not. Surgeons and bus drivers spring to mind; also, the so-called “mean” drinker, often called a “domestic terrorist.” Yea verily, not much a threat on the worldwide terrorist scene since the asshole is usually too busy taking it out on “loved” ones to mess with the outside impersonal world, but I can’t believe we couldn’t find room at Guantanamo for knobs like those.

Anyways, I forgot what my focking point was, so let me just say that our worldwide sober nuts need to relax, have a cocktail, so that the only inner-voice they hear is the one that tells them not to blow-up a bunch of kids, but instead whispers into a red-eyed ear, “Hey, it’s OK. Have another. You still got tomorrow, and so should everybody else,” ’cause I’m Art Kumbalek and I told you so.

"Patti Smith Looks Back on the Album Where It All Came Together"

From The Shepherd Express:

Punk's poet laureate speaks of 'Horses,' creative control and Milwaukee memories

By David Luhrssen  Feb. 28, 2017

Patti Smith changed plans for her Milwaukee concert when I reminded her of the date. “March 9—that’s the day I met Fred!” she says excitedly. “Oh my gosh.” And as a result, at her Thursday, March 9 show—her first in town in 38 years—Smith promised to perform a “Fred trilogy,” as she calls it, comprised of the three songs she wrote in the ’70s about her late husband, Fred “Sonic” Smith: “Because the Night,” “Dancing Barefoot” and a number rarely performed in recent years, “Frederick.”

Milwaukee was one of the first cities outside Smith’s New York home base where her music was widely embraced. Much of that attention resulted from the single-minded efforts of DJ Bob Reitman, who was already talking Smith up even before her debut album, Horses. On the night of Horses’ release in the winter of 1975, Reitman played the LP on the air in its entirety. Most of us had never heard anything like it. Raw as an open wound and yet broad in human sympathy, Horses was a head-on collision of high-octane rock with modernist poetry. Not unlike William Carlos Williams and other early 20th-century poets, Smith melded literary and colloquial influences. Arthur Rimbaud inhabited the lyrics of “Land” alongside ’60s dance crazes such as the Watusi and the Mashed Potato.

In the years since Horses, Smith accepted the Nobel Prize for Bob Dylan, sang at the Vatican for Pope Francis, was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, won the National Book Award for her memoir, Just Kids, and saw her photography exhibited in museums. But Horses was what lifted her from the pre-gentrified Bowery into the international spotlight. Caught up in the scene that gathered in the tiny bar called CBGB’s, Smith endowed punk rock with a dimension beyond simple assertions and three chords.

“I didn’t start as a musician and I’m not a musician, really. I started as a poet,” Smith says about the origin of Horses songs. “Birdland” and “Horses” began as poems. The line that famously opened the album and framed her radical reinvention of Van Morrison’s “Gloria”—“Jesus died for somebody’s sins but not mine”—came from a poem she’d written in 1970. “Horses was a culmination of my evolution from poetry to performance; it all coalesced on that album,” she continues.

The Patti Smith Band performs Thursday, March 9 at 8 p.m. at the Milwaukee Theatre, 500 W. Kilbourn Ave. Tickets are available from ticketmaster.com or by calling 1-800-745-3000.

I was first introduced to Patti Smith's work as a poet, by a fellow poet, Jeff DeMark.  He said to me, "You gotta read this stuff," and gave me one of her books.

The transition from Time Warner Cable to Spectrum has not been without bumps.

Last weekend I had a TWC/Specrtrum technician at my place.  He got my download speeds to the highest I'd ever seen them.  Then he said, "I think you're paying a bit much for what you're getting: "Ultimate" Internet with download speed of 50 mbps and home phone.  I paid $123 a month.  The technician said to call the office and switch to a Spectrum Plan instead of a TWC Plan.  Say what?  Yeah, they may be acting like it's a new dawn, but they're up to some old internet tricks.  The Spectrum Plan, with a download speed of 60 mbps, and home phone is $30 cheaper than what I was paying.  I'm now signed up for $93 a month, with more speed.  When I asked a guy on the phone why they weren't advertising this fact, he chuckled and said, "You know why."

So, I guess expect the worst from Spectrum.  Meanwhile, though, call them up and see if your TWC Plan can be changed to a Spectrum Plan.  It was no big deal for me.  However, the next day my internet speeds were like 9 mbps and 12 mbps.  I called them up and the woman said she was going to reboot my modem.  She did.  Now I get 60 mbps (or more) and I have $30 more dollars per month to throw into the maw of the wolf at the door.

Before this, I had heard only of more money for the same service.  They hiked me $5 per month (not bad).  However, I spoke with a woman at the bank who said her costs went up $30 per month.  Call them up.  See if you can't get some of that knocked down by switching to a Spectrum Plan.  Good luck.

A Little Visitor!

Last night around 5:30pm while Drew and I were eating dinner we had a little visitor come on our patio. At first Drew thought I was joking around until he got up and look out the patio door and seen we had a skunk on our patio. I told him that the skunk just wanted us to share our dinner with him. Here is the picture.

Four for Fridays!

I can not believe the nice weather we have had and now it is cold again. I would rather the nice warm weather. Here are your questions.

1) Who is ready for Spring to be here already?

2) Do you celebrate St. Patrick's Day?

3) Have you had green beer?

4) If you have had green beer when was the last time?

I hope everyone has a nice weekend.

Dear Madame Zoltar

Hello, my Mentos and Cokes!  How are you?  Have you been hanging onto the wether roller coaster?  I wonder what's going to happen next.  I better ask Madame Zoltar.  Wait, I am Madame Zoltar.  Looks like a slow side downward over the next few days, but then, of course, the temps rise back up.  I wonder if we're going to have a blazing summer due to climate change?  Maybe we'll fry out before then.

Still no word on Sugar, the English bulldog executed by RPD.  I'd hate to think that our police force is as corrupt as our mayor.  A few bad apples, OK.  A barrel ful of rotten apples, not OK.  Let the people know what's happening in the case. My God, everything coming out of City Hall is highly polished horseshit.  We get the lying mayor we deserve.

I'm thinking of revamping my business to accept only the wealthies clients.  Mt. Trump says that I can no longer receive Medicare or Medicaid payments.  Fine.  I can't work for free.  So I'll specialize in those with deep pockets. The poor can go to hell.

I may end up the wealthiest psychic around.  Then we'll see who's boss at the next psychis convention.  High Priestess Ursala can go to hell, too.   I don't care what they do if I'm rich.  I can hire protection.

Send your political contributions to me.  I'm more likely to cause the change you want than any politician.

Please send your questions to madamezoltar@jtirregulars.com

I love writing my blogs and I hope you enjoy reading them.

How many prescription drugs do you take?  I have 13, one being a cream.  I shared with my shrink my concern over taking so many meds.  He said that the average 65 year old has 19 prescriptions.  I find that hard to believe.  I know so many people my age who take no, or a few, medications.  Someone must be taking 40 pills a day to make up for each of these people.  I take all 12 of my meds daily, in varying dosages.  The cream was prescribed because my primary care doctor said I had skin caner running down the middle of my forehead.  He referred me to a dermatologist.  Christ, she was gorgeous, and, of course, had perfect skin.  She froze a spot off the center of my forehead and prescribed the ointment.  I was surprised when she said most of my skin damage was caused by the wind, not the sun.  That means I did my homework right when I went into landscaping.  I wear caps with long bills to help my sight, but they also protect my face.  I always used sun block.  And I'd wear a scarf on my neck to prevent becoming a redneck.

So, how many prescriptions do you take?

"Racist Emails And Racist Remarks Plague Racine's City Hall"

From Racine Community Media:

Racist emails and racist remarks continue to plague Racine’s City Hall, coupled with shocking illegal campaign contribution statements!
Racine-Racist emails and racist remarks allegedly made by Racine’s Mayor John Dickert and other City Of Racine elected officials, continue to turn the City Of Racine back 100 years and destroying the moral fabric of the community. Highlighting unfair treatment, illegal campaign contributions and racist emails, the truth is absolutely shocking.

Four for Fridays!

I just can not believe how quick the week has gone by. It has been a real busy week for me and I almost forgot about doing the four for fridays. Here are your questions.

1) Have you cleaned your house and then the next day it looks like you never cleaned it?

2) While we had the warm weather did you go and get your car washed?

3) When was the last time you cleaned out your car?

4) When do you start your spring cleaning?

I hope you have a very nice day.
