"The Sounds of Silence" by Simon & Garfunkel

Pretty funny as hubby isn't a big conversationalist, but his is even funnier...

"Dominique" by The Singing Nun

I've heard of Simon and Farfunkel but the Singing Nun? Where did they come up with those names even WAY back then?? I don't even start on the names of bands in the last 15 years, yikes!!

logjam, you busted me up! And orbs, somebody must have at least been beating a drum the day you were hatched. :>

Cool site SER, too bad I got ticked and threw away i-tunes in my "summer of music converting" madness.

That Lucky Old Sun by Frankie Laine...geesh...I am an old geezer or geezette...whatever. And why do I remember listening to half the sounds you guys are posting?

A disco version of Star Wars and the Cantena song. How depressing. DISCO? What were you old people thinking?

OrbsCorbs said...

I swear to God that I had absolutely nothing to do with Disco. And I only went to a disco once, in Minneapolis, when we were visiting friends.

Beejay said...

Disco...oh no..not me...I did not have a thing to do with it...I hated that disco ball...made me dizzy.

I forgot to list mine...

"Riders in the Sky (A Cowboy Legend)" by Vaughn Monroe.

Gezzz I must be old...never heard of him.

SER said...

”I hated that disco ball...made me dizzy”. Ya right Beejay. You sure it wasn’t the 2 bottles of wine before you went to the disco?

kkdither said...

Ok, blame it on me. I went disco dancing. Heck... it was fun. I also thought John Travolta was the hottest thing in Saturday Night Fever. Yeah, I'm so ashamed....At least I didn't have the big hair though.

Beejay said...

Back then it wasn't real wine....

Riders in the Sky was my dad's favorite song.....I remember when I was in my teens, he bought a Lorne Greene Album just to get that song AGAIN!

Beejay said...

To explain the wine thing...Annie Greensprings!

Speaking of Disco....
How's this for a flashback (or nightmare) Polyester leisure suits, disco dancing in the Bunny Hutch at the Lake Geneva Playboy club.....
The 70's version of "Living the High Life"

Geeez logjam...You're giving me the hebegebes!

Lizardmom said...

logjam, WHY did you have to bring up leisure suits? they were awful then and just the thought is giving me the creeps :)

kkdither said...

My dad wore leisure suits. He looked especially spiffy in his baby blue one while wearing the white shoes and belt. Eeeeeeeeeeeeee!

SER said...

KK,

You sure yours and my dad didn’t hang out together? The only difference is mine wore cowboy boots and a Stetson cowboy hat with that blue suit!

Oh ya...he was spiffy alright.
