Save water! Pee in the shower!

(CBS) New TV ads are encouraging Brazilians to save water - by urinating in the shower.

Brazilian environmental group SOS Mata Atlantica says the campaign, running on several television stations, uses humor to persuade people to reduce flushes.

The group says if a household avoids one flush a day, it can save up to 4,380 liters (1,157 gallons) of water annually.

SOS spokeswoman Adriana Kfouri said Tuesday that the ad is "a way to be playful about a serious subject."

The spot features cartoon drawings of people from all walks of life - a trapeze artist, a basketball player, even an alien - urinating in the shower.

Narrated by children's voices, the ad ends with: "Pee in the shower! Save the Atlantic rainforest!"

LOL.. I just had to beat someone else to posting this.

I was just wondering that yesterday as I took a shower. It seems every time I do dishes I have to 'go'. Is there some psychological reason that running waters starts the 'go' urge? Very interesting.

Sassa, it's gotta be the noise and that warm sensation on your hands.

A drain is a drain, I guess. I don't think I could carry on my shower business if I was doing that, though. It would still be a waste of water....

Didn't Seinfeld do a show about this? George peed in the shower and Jerry was freaked out by it? George kept saying "Pipes are pipes."

Anyway, wouldn't an outhouse save all sorts of water? Or how about using the toilet all you want, but only flush it once a day? Gee, I'm making myself sick...
