"The city's Finance and Personnel Committee on Monday approved a 10-month, $25,000 contract with the Racine Area Manufacturers and Commerce, to provide public relations services.
"The man RAMAC has picked for the job is Mark Eickhorst, dubbed 'Mr. Racine' by RAMAC President Roger Caron. Eickhorst, a former alderman and local radio personality, has earned that title before for his work throughout the community. Eickhorst has worked with RAMAC in a variety of positions. His contract would start Feb. 1. It must be approved by City Council."

Everything is going to hell. Lying, cheating, more lying on ALL levels.... there is just no accountability anywhere, anymore. Unbelievable! Why can't I get smart enough to find myself on the other, lucrative side of it?
"Mr. Racine" has numerous entries on CCAP for tax warrants going back years. Thousands and thousands of dollars in unpaid taxes. Since he doesn't pay his taxes, it only makes sense that we should give him tax dollars to represent our crooked mayor.
When I read this yesterday, I snapped my radish! I even went as far as looking up wages for PR people. The range goes all the way up to $97,000+ per year. This does not include bennies! .
When you look at beanies plus wages, you are looking at another $155,200 a year job! This is $97k + 60%. 60% may be low. And I’m sure, IF the job is created he will need an office and a secretary...more money!

yep tax warrants, been sued by the state and I'm doing my research but I think he did something quite some time ago that wasn't too smart either, just don't wanna say anything until I have the documentation.

Maybe Mr. Racine won't be approved. I don't know if that stuff matters to the muckety-mucks. It's not criminal, but I don't think it reflects particularly well on Mr. Racine, either. I assume, though, that someone will be the Public Information Officer, offering residents of Racine more window dressing, more fluff, and more spin to the tune of $25,000 for 10 months; then they're thinking of making it a permanent position. Gee, too bad we blew 50 grand on that scrap metal monument in Uptown or we coulda got two more PR people, and three times the screwing.
