Re-Elect Nobody!

The people in political offices throughout the USA just do not get it. They are supposed to represent us, not the special interests that buy their votes. I don't care what political affiliation, 99.9% of them have an agenda that has nothing to do with what their constituents want. I'm voting against every incumbent in every upcoming election. They will not understand, nor will their successors heed us, until we THROW THE BUMS OUT!

[This has been an unpaid political advertisement. Re-Elect Nobody Racine, OrbsCorbs treasurer; send lawyers, guns and money in care of JTIrregulars.com. Alderman Jeff Coe excluded from this blog because he's a good guy.]

I personally feel that one term is long enough for anyone in any office....take a break and run again later...but these guys who are in for fifty years or so...come on.....

If anything good can come out of the mess the country is in today, it might be that people will finally get so miserable that we can take back control of our government from thieves.

Term limits. This crap of electing Strom Thurmond when he was 90 + and Robert Byrd who is 90 something is ridiculous.
Give them two terms and let them come back home and find a real job. Yeah, good luck with that.

Racine Tea Party Bonfire

I think my uncle is actively involved in the TEA party thing, I haven't read too much on it yet tho, I'm terrible when it comes to political stuff :( I DO vote tho :)

SER, I was reading comments on the upcoming tea party bonfire in the Journal Times. Someone said a bonfire is like a cross burning. Right. I grew up a block from North Beach. When I was a kid, someone had a bonfire on the beach almost every weekend. That's when I was recruited into the KKK. Right. I've been to numerous bonfires at a friend's house out in the county, and I've also attended some AA events that featured bonfires. Of course, at all of these we were actually plotting how to lynch blacks.

The oinkers in power will say anything to keep their power, anything. Greed and power.

Orbs, back in the day you could get a permit to have a fire on the beach and have beer, no glass. Didn’t cost anything but if you left a mess, the city cleaned it and you would pay though the nose!

We had lots of parties down there, You were suppose to have the fire contained in a barrel or something. We use to use a 55 gall drum. Cut it off so it was only 12 or so inches deep.

All the political talk going on is (to me) becoming a real pain in the ass.

Dont re-elect anyone.... except that nice guy in Sturtevant that won last year as a newcomer and will run again in 2011. Wow. I guess I just delcared...... waaaaay early!

Yes, Stu is also officially excluded from the Re-Elect Nobody! campaign.

To me, it means voting with your head and heart, not just along party lines. I think the old guard in Congress and states across the US needs to be shaken up badly in order for them to even begin to do their jobs properly. They are insulated from the people they supposedly serve and owned by the lobbyists. It is disgusting. During the Depression, the tent armies didn't have the mass communication that we have. It's harder now to keep ripping off the people without their knowledge.
