I thought I would try my luck at getting some pictures of the Moon and Venus. They are not as good as Hale-Bopp's pics. I think they came out not too half bad.
Doesn't really show how skinny the moon is.

Way to go! The first step is to get out there and try and you got some nice shots already. What type of camera did you use?
Looks like you downsized the pics quite a bit...I bet the Moon looks better at the full resolution.

Hale, my camera is a Polaroid Digital i534.
I used the night time setting. Yes, I resized them and saved them at a lower quality. I didn't know if they would post full size.

I am amazed at the size of files that you can post here. This is one of the few sites that I know that will accept bitmaps. I've uploaded huge pictures here.
