Litter Kwitter®

Uh-huh. Now all they have to do is train cats to feed themselves and to go to the store and buy their own food. My cat, Charlie, already likes "water sports." His water dish is kept in the bathtub because he likes to play with it so much. He stretches out on his side and repeatedly taps the dish with his paw to make it spill. If I leave it out by his food, it will be overturned. He also likes to drink/lick directly from the bathroom sink faucet. When it comes to the toilet, I don't want to encourage Charlie to "go there." Pretty soon I would have to rent a two bathroom apartment.

My daughters had a friend whose dog used the basement toilet. It even flushed when it was done!

I don't know... it is bad enough to have men in the house. I can't imagine having to make a trip there in the middle of the night, only to find that the cat "missed."

You can get spill proof water bowls at Petsmart/Petco etc. I have a cat who used to love getting the floors all wet. It's pretty good and has done the trick.

Only cat owners understand

Many years ago Ann Landers had a letter about the proper way to hang toilet paper. The paper should face out, not in. As I read the letters all claiming that this was the "proper way" like a bunch of little miss Manners, I couldn't help but observe none of them were cat owners. How many cat owners have come home to find the entire roll of TP on the floor and shredded? Cat owners KNOW the proper way to hang toilet paper is facing IN. Cats (hopefully) give up after a quarter inch is shredded off the diameter and leave the TP alone after that.

Oh yeah, my mom bought one of those toilet training for the cats many years ago.. After reading in the instructions that it said that we were supposed to jump up on the toilet seat on all 4 and show them how to do it, she just packed it back up and returned it..

I figure Charlie gets some enjoyment out of playing with the water dish, so I don't mind keeping it in the tub. He's used to it, too, now.

I can't imagine training a cat to use the toilet. I mean, obviously, it is done, but I'm not interested and I don't think Charlie is, either.

I don't have any toilet paper in my holder, not because of Charlie, but because of my neighbor's cat who would shred it whenever he visits. Now I keep it out of his reach.
