Super Bowl Sunset

Some of us were fortunate enough to live where sunset occurred over halftime so we could sneak out and avoid the invariably overhyped halftime show (and in the unlikely event that it turned out to be great and everyone was talking about it, there is always Youtube).

Nice sunset in Tucson. The Sun is setting just south of Kitt Peak, visible in this picture. You can see a green flash on the left and look closely on the right for a blue flash!

Now back to watch the end of the Super Bowl.

The flashes are very visible, hale. Cool shot.

I missed halftime, too. And the rest of the game.

You didn't miss much. Madonna was very "bubblegum-ish" in her first two songs. Is it just me, or is it hard to watch aging performers trying to continue to be hip? Speaking of hips, I was worried she'd fall off that high platform and maybe break one.

What, no Lady Gaga?

The game was great - down to the last 5 seconds with a Hail Mary pass that didn't work for the Patriots.

I'm with KK on this one. Madonna is too old to be performing her "tricks".

Give me Bruce Springsteen anyday.

Oops - really nice pictures Hale.
