I wonder if they can start the school buses in the temperatures that are predicted.

I park outdoors now. I'm taking the truck tomorrow to run some errands, but I won't even try to start it on Monday.

Stay in, stay safe, stay warm.

don't forget to add "Heat" or some other gas additive so not end up with gas line freeze.

Actually I use Isopropyl Alcohol. I use about a 1/3 of a 16oz bottle every time I put gas in my truck. Isopropyl Alcohol is the main ingredient of all the gas line freeze products.

And it less expensive.

Oh and it also works if you use diesel in our motor car.

In Minnesota, the Governor closed all schools in anticipation of the impending cold. I don't ever remember that happening before. Looking like Tuesday might be more of the same if the forecast doesn't change. Let's hope the power grids are up to the task so we all can stay toasty and safe.

Wednesday doesn't look much kinder, but should be above the levels that require closures.

Lets hope there are no medical emergencies for the Packer game attendees. You couldn't get me to attend, unless they were enclosed skybox tickets.

I guess you folks have figured out by now, I tend to be a bit negative.? (I hear you laughing, KNOCK IT OFF) anyhow, Does anyone remember this happening when we were young? Personally, I think It's all due the the advent of the SCHOOL BUS, and the loss of NEIGHBORHOOD schools. What a shame In so many way's.

KK, It Is however nice you get a day or so off, but will probably have to make It up, when It's warm?

We are having one of the mildest winters since moving here.. can probably count the number of days we have been below freezing on one hand.. might have to take two in but no more than that.. it's quite depressing because of the gray and brown colors but I do not envy your weather in the least.. even if it's white..

In the almost 15 years I have been here I do not think they have ever closed the schools.. no matter the weather..

I agree. And think of the billions of dollars spent on busing that could have been used to fund education instead. Busing makes sure that the bad apples get spread out to infect all of the schools. Another "do-gooder" idea that enables the ignorant and criminal while destroying education for those who want it.

Toad Man, you're not being negative and I agree, damn school bussing.

My ex-wife actually lived 7 houses from Park High School and they bussed her to Case...WTF is that all about.

Toad, you and I are close in age; when we got a foot or so of snow they closed the schools and it was GREAT! We would all go out and play, build snow forts and had a hell of a good time. Now days kids stay inside and play with their X-Boxes and shit.

Reality is not negativity.

We need to work harder to get government out of peoples lives.

KK does make a good point about the concern of power grids and other public utilities. Fortunately we have public utilities in Wisconsin with good resources available when needs arise.
