Sage Grouse.

The Federal Government is considering listing the Sage Grouse as an endangered species. If this is to happen it will affect 168 million acres over 11 states and the possibility of loosing 5,000 to 31,000 jobs.

It would stop all fuel exploration, building, hunting, Ln short no one could do anything with the land.

My father and I were discussing this article about the endangered Whooping Cranes here in Wisconsin. Let's just say we agreed to that we disagreed...

This is a similar topic, so I can relate. My personal opinion is that I believe that every life form has a right to this planet, weather it is the lowly mosquito to the mighty elephant. We human beings are the cause to the majority of the extinctions around the globe. We have destroyed suitable habitats by expanding our cities and poached for ivory, skins and whatever we wanted.

Sure, we could use the money, the land and the jobs. For what price? Where do we draw the line? Do we say fuck it and let it go? Some things we need to ask ourselves...

I still say give wildlife a fighting chance to survive, after all, they were here before we were. This is THEIR land. They need a voice to be heard....

Hey Drew,\

This one poached for ivory, skins and whatever we wanted, really pisses me off. Kill the elephants for the ivory and leave them lay; the same for the Black Rhino just to get their horn.

The poachers AND the one who purchase items from them need to be punished to the max; like cut the dicks off and sow them to their foreheads along with extremely high fines!

Whooping— victims of overhunting and the loss of wetland habitat.
I blame the states AND the Federal Government for the overhunting. Whooping Cranes are migratory birds and with all the DNR Dept.’s in all the states why can’t they see the problem(s) BEFORE it/they happen.

As for the wetlands, there is no way in hell they should ever be touched. There are more than enough acres for industrialist to play with.

Where do we draw the line?
Looking out west, there is no way the Fed’s need to get involved leave it up to the states and the states need to get off their dead asses and take care of business! 186 million acres is way excessive. I believe that is the problem “listing” birds/animals as endangered.

There IS a way to keep everyone happy, again they need to get off the dead asses and find a solution.
