Just Got My First Political Phone Call Of The Season

A robocall.  I stupidly answered it.

From now through the spring elections, we're going to be bombarded with information.

Most of it will be lies.

My phone rarely rings, unless it is one of my kids.

When I was caring for a sick and dying relative placed in hospitals and nursing homes, these unsolicited and telemarketing calls added tremendous stress to my life.

When I hear the spiel begin, I just quietly hang up, whether it is human or robot. I also do not answer the door anymore without looking to see who it is. If I didn't invite you, I have no obligation to open the door. Much less stressful.

We've been getting them this past week. Drives the dog nuts. I'm not going to answer it, that's for sure.

I think my reputation Is somehow a NATIONAL thing? I have NEVER received a political call. I have however made a bunch of them to my representatives (ha, ha) I only had ONE actually argue with me. It was Ron Johnsons answer man In DC.

I answered it because the the Caller ID just said Kenosha, WI with a number. I have a friend in Kenosha who occasionally calls me, so I thought it might be her.

We have caller ID that shows up on TV screen. If we don't know the number, we don't answer. If it's important, they'll leave a message.
