I finally turned on that tablet I get 2 years ago. What a frustrating piece of shit. I've been at it for 4 hours. I got Netflix installed, but it doesn't want to take the Norton Security and Antivirus app.

The "buttons" are exceedingly small and I can't read the screen half the time without a magnifying class. Some of the buttons and keyboard letters are extremely sensitive, causing me to print every letter three times. You don't even have to hit the letter, just hover your finger over it. And then it blacks out.

The fucking thing keeps dimming the screen and then going to a virtual blackout every few seconds. Fuck fuck fuck.

This is a total waste for me. I should've sold it before I turned it on. I'll never use this damn thing.

I always make the wrong choice, ALWAYS. It's in my DNA.

The sun is finally out again. Hopefully it will warm things up a bit and melt some ice. Wasn't too bad yesterday afternoon for the funeral. Roads were generally okay. A little crunchy at the cematary.

Have a great day Irregulars. Stay warm.

Okie, uh-oh.

Sorry for starting the comments with a rant. I was very frustrated last night. I don't think I'll have time tonight to play with the tablet.

Hopefully, Okie isn't freezing her mistletoe off?

Orbs, I felt the same way with the Kindle when I got it. It came with a cardboard card about the size of credit card. The big instructions were to, "swipe to get started." I'm a manual kind of gal. One thing that might help you is a stylus. It saved me on the Kindle. They even have some at the dollar store. You know about the pinch and double tap to make things bigger?

I've been dealing with a migraine the past couple of days. Almost felt flu-ish yesterday. Good thing I have a couple days to recuperate.

Orbs - don't apologize for ranting about tablets. They can drive you crazy. You do need a stylus. OMG, I just thought of something. I'll e-mail you.

I hope you don't get sick, kk. What a waste of time off if you are.

"Swipe to get started" are the instructions I received. The manual is available online as a pdf file. I have a Bic mechanical pencil that I found in a parking lot. I took out the lead and use it as a stylus, but the tablet seems to prefer my finger. I have to get used to the "touchiness" of the tablet. If I hover my finger too close to the screen, it will start doing shit and take me three different places, none of which I wanted.

I really can't see much use of the tablet by me. I'm not someone who goes to a lot of places and needs internet. About the only thing I might use it for is Netflix. I finally found and downloaded their app. I can watch movies in bed, but I'm just a few steps away from my computer with a 21" screen.

What bothers me the most about the tablet is its habit of dimming down and then going black. If you're not constantly active on the thing, it shuts down.

I'm an old fart with bad eyes. It takes me awhile to figure out this shit, but I never get a chance because the damn thing keeps shutting down.

It keeps telling me to go to the "Settings," but I can't find it.
