Dear Madame Zoltar

Hello, my boys and girls!  How are you?  How well have you been riding the weather roller coaster?  I'm strapped in tight.  Up, down, and all around the weather coaster goes.  Climate change or not, we're having a warm, weird winter.  I'm not complaining; just pointing out. I'm sure it's bad for the landscape, but what can you do?  Maybe Mr. Trump can write an executive order correcting Ma Nature.  I don't think he will, though, because this would amount to admiring climate change us true.  We can't have reality interfering with our government.  When it comes to reality versus our government, I believe our government all the way.  I also have beets for eyes and a carrot for my nose.

It looks like another conman has been found to carry out the Machinery Row mission, which, I believe, is to squeeze every last cent out of Racine's residents.  And then you can pay for a huge arena with absolutely no demand for it. There's no demand for Machinery Row, either, but screw reality, we're gonna build it anyway, at about triple the original estimates. Watch Lying John's friends get rich off of our money.  Watch lying John and Tommy Friedel piss away millions after millions of our dollars.  Watch them get absolutely NO return on our dollars.  Lying John likes to play real estate agent, especially with our money, but he's had no successes.  Rather than rein him in, our City Council approves Dickert's every move. We are governed by felonious pigs.  I hope that every last member gets it when lying John is revealed by the FBI.  If you're not working against this thief at the head of our city, then you're working for him, whether you know it or not.

No one gives a damn anymore if they do their city job or not.  I know a man who has submitted various Freedom of Information Act requests from the city.  They don't even try to meet their own quotas by now.  It doesn't matter.  Who's going to prosecute a "city of ill-repute," if the prosecutors are part of the problem? The people who work in City Hall hate lying John, and they spread that hatred whenever you deal with them.  He has doubled the workload of the average City Hall employee with no corresponding wage increase.  He's hated by those he "governs' and "employs."  No wonder he hangs with a tight circle.  No wonder he craps on us with ease.  He truly believes that he is above the law and impossible to jail.  So did the guy who preceded  him.  There's much more hatred for lying John than Becker, though.  I wouldn't be surprised by an assassination attempt.  Some homeowner pushed to the edge by financial concerns just goes downtown and blasts away at lying John.  I hope his aim is good.

Many of us who live outside of downtown are repulsed by lying John's concentration on just one spot of the city as the rest of it goes to hell.  And yet, for all of his "concentration," downtown is as empty as ever, except when the drunks take over at night.  It's shaming to show visitors.  Here's our downtown where almost all of our money goes, but nothing is ever built.  Start with the old Zahn's building and move on.  You'll be confronted by empty storefront after empty storefront. Then there's the block on 6th Street where Porter's used to be.  That's flattened except for the church on a corner.  We heard all sorts of promises on that one.  And, once again, in the toilet.  I guess if you gauge victory by the number of roundabouts proposed, then lying John is victorious.  Give him a city car and let him drive around and around his roundabout in front of City Hall.  Beep-beep!  Let conscientious people run our city rather than the band of thieves we have now.  Please, Lord, make it so.

Well, I didn't plan on making this a purely political blog, but I did.  Sorry.  Sometimes the lies coming out of City Hall are just too much.  But don't let that get you down.  Stand up to the criminals.  Say, "I'm with Madame Zoltar and your time has come."

Enjoy our weird weather.  I love you all and hope for the best for each and every one of you. Keep the faith.  Fight injustice whenever you encounter it.

I bet you that it snows in July.

Bitchers and Voters Report

From The Shepherd Express:

By Art Kumbalek 32 minutes ago

I’m Art Kumbalek and man oh manischewitz what a world, ain’a? So listen, I got one hot tip for you’s who may be still steamed by having to cool your heels in long lines whenever you go to vote once every four years during a November battle of presidents. Next Tuesday, Feb. 21 is a spring primary and for a lot of voters in Beer Town all you got on the ballot is the state school superintendent and a municipal judge—some of you’s may also need to pick a school board member. That’s it.

Yes sir, I’m here to tell you that when it comes to exercising your franchise, if crowds or standing in line ’round the block and back cause you to consider relocating to some Commie country where the sanctioned synonym for suffrage is “labor camp,” then this is the election for you, I kid you not.

Talk about democracy-friendly. No muss, no fuss. You’ll be in, then out of that ballot booth like a regular Harry Houdini. It’ll be so easy that, to tell the truth, I might even ask one of the ladies passing out ballots to handcuff and blindfold me first and see if I can still make it out in less than 15 seconds, what the fock.

Now if you’ve never voted before but have always felt like giving it a shot, a small-potatoes primary election is a good place to get your feet wet and feel good about your performance. You see, a lot of rookie voters tend to choke under the pressure when they enter the booth during the heavy national elections when the fate of the free world may hinge on their ability to follow simple instructions. It’s called the “Florida Syndrome,” and the results can lead to disaster, you betcha.

And then I’ll tell you that the seasoned voter understands that there are elections when political practicalities and the calendar dictate that you got to settle for a baloney sandwich even though you more hanker a nice hunk of Châteaubriand. It’s like tickets to a Bucks game. You may prefer to see Golden State, but the only seat you can score is of a distance from the action that if you don’t carry in an iron lung and the Hubble telescope, hey, focking forget about it. So instead it’s the Nets out of New Jersey for you. Plenty of empty seats. And parking? No problemo.

But let me tell you’s that a ballot which lists only a school board, state superintendent and local judge is a thing of beauty to the true election aficionado. The aficionado would say that it’s the synchronicity of form and function, that the percentage of eligible voters who actually turn out for one of these shebangs to choose citizens to help run the schools is nearly identical to the percentage of eligible students who actually show up for class any given day of the school year.

You know, if I wasn’t so damn busy running 24/7+12/52/365 for president of our fine country, I might myself cotton on one of these school-board gigs. Focking-A, sit around and bitch about schools, teachers and the jackass kids, plus get paid for it to boot? That’s exactly all I did during mine own glorious school days, and the only thanks I ever got back then was a couple, three soapy mouth-washings and trips to the principal’s office 8/5, what the fock.

Better yet would be to start my own damn school now that the powers-that-be can choose to take money away from the public schools and hand it over to any Tom, Dick or Dickless who’s got a notion to change his/her crappy basement into some kind of academy for this or that. I’m not exactly sure what I’d try to cram down the throats of the students at Art Kumbalek’s Excellent Knowledge Nook, but I better come up with something if I’m going to grab this state dough they’re passing out hand over fist.

I’m thinking my curriculum will be strong on teaching the good ol’-fashioned values: Let a smile be your umbrella; never, ever mix good booze with soda; brush your teeth and stay in school. And there’d be plenty of memorizing stuff, you bet, ’cause while the kids are doing their memorizing, I could step outside and have a nice smoke in the faculty garage.

The most important thing I’d have them memorize would be any and all parts in the Constitution that talk about the right to vote—skip the fake clause where the slave-holding Founding Fathers state the need for an I.D. card but don’t forget to bring one with you, the bastards.

As soon as any student showed me they had those phrases and particles down cold, plus swore up and down they’d vote in every election no matter how seemingly stupid or trivial, I’d stamp them straight-A ready for the real world of these United States. Class dismissed. Now go out and prepare to vote next Tuesday. It’ll be good spring training for the big-league 2018 midterm elections when we’ll really need you to show up and compete, ’cause I’m Art Kumbalek and I told you so.

"Racine County Judge John 'Jack' Jude Dies Of Heart Attack"

From Racine County Eye:

"Retired Racine County Judge John 'Jack' Jude died unexpectedly of a heart attack on Friday, according to friends close to the family.

"Mark F. Nielsen, who became a Racine Circuit Court Judge this year, was a friend of Jude’s for 35 years. Jude retired in July and he helped Nielsen transition to succeed him, he said.

"'Everyone is just shocked,' Nielsen said. 'I am just one of many who will miss him very much.'

"Jude Saw The Good In People"

"Jude prided himself on championing a number of initiatives, but he was also good to people in and out of the courtroom. A member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Jude’s faith guided him in his decision-making, Nielsen said.

'He had an open heart and he was open to the good in people. He looked for it and he was confident that it was there, but he wasn’t naïve,' Nielsen said. 'He lived in the real world. If there was one tenant that drove him it was this: Most people are good and if they weren’t good, he knew that they could be better.'

"Outside the courtroom, Jude spent his time on trying to fix the fundamental flaws he saw in the community.

"He served as president of the board for Family Services of Racine, set up review panels for organizations seeking funding from United Way of Racine County, and served on the Racine Collaborative for Children’s Mental Health.

"The Johnson Foundation honored Jude for being a Hero for Health and highlighted Jack’s work with children and the need for creating a more responsive mental health system.
In that story Jack wrote:

"'If we train our police officers and community members to recognize signs of mental health issues, these young people will have a better chance at receiving the treatment they really need,' he wrote.

"Jack’s Personality"

"Barb Tylenda, former direct for the Health Care Network, said Jack was a kind and gentle man.

"'He was on the side of the underdog and all the issues he became involved with  helped them,' Tylenda said.

"'He supported them in HCN because it helped people who were low-income and uninsured. He was more than busy with his own legal work, but he still found time for the things he cared about.'

"Friends described Jude as a gentleman because he was genuine, kind and approachable.

"'His death is a huge loss for his family and his friends for sure, but it’s also a huge loss for our community as well,' Tylenda said.

"Tylenda recalls seeing Jude at a Racine Interfaith Coalition breakfast trying to find someone to sit with and it was Jude who reached out to her.

"'Jack saw me and saw the dilemma I was having,' Tylenda said. 'He came over and said that he hoped I didn’t have plans to sit with anyone. "I’d love for you to sit with us… That was Jack. It was nice to feel included…that’s what I’ll remember."'

"When we find out the funeral details, we’ll update the story. What are your memories of Jack? Please feel free to comment below."

Four for Fridays!

Hello everyone I hope all of you are doing well. I want to say a special thank you to Daddy Orbs for doing the Four for Fridays last week when I was down sick. He is one special man to do this for me. Here are your questions.

1) Do you eat out more or do you cook at home more?

2) If you do eat out more what is your favorite restaurant?

3) What is your favorite meal to cook at home?

4) When you cook at home do you prefer to cook on the grill or on the stove?

I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Dear Madame Zoltar

Hello, my swans and ugly ducklings!  How are you?  I'm feeling pretty good today, and I don't know why.  Maybe I'm just lucky.  I was at my doctor's earlier and my weight and blood pressure came in normal.  I had "water on the elbow" (bursitis) and he drained it and bandaged it.  He said it's a very common injury.  It must be - I don't remember hurting my elbow.  The doctor says that's normal, too.  He said just leaning on your elbow can cause it.  Lord, I hate getting old, but I'm not ready for the alternative just yet.

My doctor also put on a long Ace bandage.  (I believe that's meant to prevent any elbow bending.)  I've already had to "rearrange" the Ace bandage because my wrist and hand were swelling up.  Couldn't we just put the bandage around the elbow area?  I believe they make bandages for that specific area.  The doctor said to avoid using my left arm/hand.  Ever try to blow your nose with just one hand?  It's not pretty.  He also said to ice the area.  Right.  When I asked him how, he said fill a large Zip-loc bag with ice and stick my elbow in it.  Well, obviously that requires loosening, or even removal, of the Ace bandage.  I don't think there's much chance of icing it today.  Maybe tonight . . .

Well, the fallout from Junior's accident while driving Señor Zanza's car has started to settle.  First off, no one was hurt in the accident.  Thank you, Lord.  Señor Zanza has excellent automobile insurance coverage and they took care of everything.  However, the accident revealed something that they didn't know about: Junior.  If Señor Zanza wishes to retain the coverage that he had and still live under the same roof as Junior, it will cost more than $1,500 a month.

Gulp.

Señor Zanza requested that a rider be added to his policy specifically eliminating coverage if Junior drives the car.  Nope.  One of them has to move to a different address.  This is just what Junior wants: to live "on his own," but we pay for it.  I never let my auto insurance know about Junior and I'm not going to.  What a mess.  These guys better figure out a solution to this.  I don't want either of my men leaving our home.  I love them both too much to part with either.

Have you heard the latest on the "bedbug wars' going on in Washington, D.C.?  Read about it here: http://hannertimes.blogspot.com/2017/02/white-house-infested-with-bed-bugs.html  Bed bugs are terrible little parasites that can drive you mad.  I hate them.  Really, really hate them.  I had them once and that's enough.  And it's very expensive to get rid of them. You can pick them up anywhere and a full infestation starts before you even know it.  Sometimes their poop is the first thing seen.  Whatever, please get rid of the bed bugs in the White House.  Our nation's "home" shouldn't be infected with anything other than politicians.  And they're probably the most dangerous infestation.

Thank you all for reading my blog.  I know it's very late.  I just have too much to do sometimes.  I love you all and wish you peace and happiness.  And no bed bugs.

Know of a good doctor?  Please let me know at madamezoltar@jtirregulars.com

Enjoy the ups and downs of our weather.  The roller coaster is taking us right toward spring.  That's OK with me.  Take care of yourselves.  I love you all.

Cupid’s Bull

From The Shepherd Express:

By Art Kumbalek 1 hour ago

I’m Art Kumbalek and man oh manischewitz what a world, ain’a? So listen, the other night I dreamt that I was me in an alternate universe, or maybe it was alternate-universe me dreaming of me in this universe. I know, it’s complicated, what the fock. Past, present, future—couldn’t figure which was which, but I wrote down what I remembered and here she blows:

Hey, it’s damn near Valentine’s Day, which means one thing: Presidents’ Day is right around the corner. So it’s high time for me and the guys to rendezvous pronto and gird up the plans for our annual Presidents’ Day costume party gala event to honor the day and the office, so’s to dress up like a dead president and then knock off a couple, three cases of ice-cold bottled beer rather than dress up normal and knock off a couple, three cases of ice-cold bottled beer as if it were just any ol’ damn day. Hoist to the chief.

And what this means to you is that I can’t deliver my expected thinking-man’s essay ’cause somehow I goofed and devised a confab with the guys about our Presidents’ plans at the exact time I customarily whip out my essay, what the fock. There’s nothing I can do about it now ’cause I’m already late to be up over by the Uptowner tavern/charm school. Tag along if you like, but you cover the first round. Let’s get going.

Ernie: So Emil, make sure you still got a couple bucks on you by the end of the night you can lend me.

Emil: You got money ’cause I just seen you buy a drink, so fock you.

Ernie: Yeah, I got money now, but I won’t by closing time, and tomorrow I got to buy the wife some candy bars for the Valentine’s so I don’t end up in the doghouse again this year. So no, fock you.

Little Jimmy Iodine: Someone should really tell the young people today that being the husband and wife isn’t going to be a cakewalk in the beach with a balloon every day, ain’a? You know the experts say that the marriage is something you have to work at.

Emil: You got to be jerking my beefaroni. Fock the experts. That’s why I never got married, you betcha. You work all day at your crummy job and you finally get home just looking to take a load off—but no—now you’re supposed to roll back up the sleeves and hit the goddamn grindstone with your nose in it, just so the wife doesn’t put you to sleep in the doghouse again? It’s cruel and inhuman.

Julius: Hey, listen to this I’m reading in the paper here: “Under the lax rules of the chimp mating system, a female is likely to be inseminated several times, and males need to deliver competitive volumes of ejaculate to have a chance at paternity.” Cripes, sounds like a free-for-all. I tell you, if we get reincarnation when we die, I sure as hell know what I’m signing up for to come back, and it sure isn’t no goddamn canary.

Little Jimmy Iodine: It just doesn’t sound fair that chimps get a lax mating system and we don’t. Those chimps just better pray to God they never have to evolve like the human had to.

Ray: Hey Emil, don’t tell me about the doghouse. When I was the married man, no matter how hard I tried to watch my step, one way or the other somehow I’d still step smack-dab into some kind of pile of crap and there I’d be—scraping off the bottom of my shoe in the doghouse, again. Cripes, I spent so much time in the doghouse that come the Father’s Days, my kids never thought for a second to get me a necktie or a pipe, no sir. I’d get a flea collar and a bath with the hose.

Ernie: That sounds familiar from somewheres, ain’a?

Ray: Yeah, my favorite part of the day would be when everybody else was out of the house so I could drink out of the toilet.

Little Jimmy Iodine: Hey, Artie! Over here. Put a load on your keister.

Art: Hey gents. What do you hear, what do you know.

Emil: Ray was telling us about drinking out of the toilet.

Art: Oh yeah, that. Nothing quite like being married to the girl of your dreams, ain’a?

Herbie: I’ll never forget what the philosopher Henny Youngman said: “My wife and I have the secret to making a marriage last. Two times a week we go to a nice restaurant, a little wine, good food. She goes Tuesdays; I go Fridays.”

Art: And I’ll always remember the difference between a tornado and an ex-wife.

Julius: Oh yeah, what’s that again?

Art: There isn’t any—they both get the house. Ba-ding!

(Hey, it’s getting late and I know you got to go, but thanks for letting us bend your ear, ’cause I’m Art Kumbalek and I told you so.)

For my first and foremost gripe: cars parking in the fire lane at Walmart Neighborhood Mart and Piggly-Wiggly.  I was at Walmart earlier today and the parking lot was total gridlock because a couple of cars decided to just stop and park in front of the store in opposing lanes.  I have sat behind such assholes and laid on my horn.  They ignore it.  I've walked up to some of the cars and told the people off.  They ignored it.  The only thing that works is the threat of the police.  Sometimes now as I see someone parked in the fire lane, I'll tell them off and then say that I've alerted the police to their presence.  That usually gets them moving.

I foresee a day when people will just stop their cars in traffic, get out and go shopping.  People have told me to ignore it because I could get into a fight or get shot.  See, everyone has ignored this type of shit for so long that it's almost impossible to get people to change.  Ignore it and it just gets worse and worse.  Ignore them and they won't go away.

Four for Fridays!

I'm filling in for THB because she's feeling under the weather.  Here are your questions:

1)  Are you watching the Super Bowl?

2)  Do Daylight Saving Time changes bother you?

3)  What's your favorite flavor of ice cream?

4)  Do you take after your mom or your dad?

Stay warm, Irregulars.

Dear Madame Zoltar

Hello, Mr. and Mrs. America!  How are you?  Has anyone been thrown off of the weather roller coaster yet?  We go up, down, and all around.  We're going down tonight to a couple of days in the 20's, then back up into the 30's and 40's.  This stuff really wreaks havoc on the landscape.  I have a friend who fears for his daffodils and tulips coming up too soon on the south side of his house.  I told him to throw more mulch on the flowers beds, but he says he's done that almost every year and he doesn't want to create berms out of mulch.  So, if we can't regulate when our flowers appear, can you imagine the the thoughts of farmers?  What do they plant and when?  Our weather is so out of whack that you don't have to travel to Australia to have "summer in winter."  Just step outside.  It will either be very warm or be snowing.

Did you read about Mr. Mayor Lying John sputtering out his nonsense on illegal aliens? Mayor Dickert: 'Racine will not actively pursue undocumented immigrants'  Racine will also not actively pursue the criminals running and ruining our city.  They pronounce mighty statements, but don't do shit except wiggle deeper into your wallet. Mr. Mayor doesn't give a damn about immigrants.  He just wants to look good for the Journal Times.  If he had spent years waiting to enter the USA legally and gone through all the procedures to become a citizen, I think he might feel differently.  If he followed all of the rules, do you think he would be telling illegal aliens that they're welcome here?  My parents took years to enter the US legally from Romania.  Why should people who break the rules be given preference over those who follow the rules?  Only in Mr. Mayor's warped mind is that fair.  The criminals that Mr. Mayor so lovingly embraces are not so wanted by the people who live here.  My parents followed the rules.  Why the hell can't you?

The city is also wondering what to do about Horlick Dam: Residents look for answers on Horlick Dam replacement  I think a couple of sticks of dynamite would do the job quickly and inexpensively.  But, of course, we'll be pitched some extremely complicated resolution that costs at least $1 million.  And then it will run over budget.  And then the new dam won't work right.  Of course, I could be wrong.  It could be much worse than that.

Today is the first day of February and tomorrow is Groundhog Day.  I say that when the groundhog pops his head out of his hole, we grab him and have him for dinner.  He's never been much of a weather forecaster, anyway.

Well, thank you for reading my blog today.  I love my readers and they love me.  We get together once a week and share the good and the bad.  That's what friends do.  Anyone can join in.  We're inclusive.  We want you.

What's the groundhog going to predict?  Ask: madamezoltar@jtirregulars.com

Watch out for the occasional snow, or even rain, storm.  Just a little icing can send you sliding or skidding.  Be careful and safe.  We don't want to lose any Irregulars to winter, or anything else.  Enjoy the warn weather while it's here.  Does this mean snow in July?  I hope not.  I love you all.

"Deport in a Storm"

 From The Shepherd Express:

By Art Kumbalek

I’m Art Kumbalek and man oh manischewitz what a world, ain’a? So listen, last night as I fell asleep whilst waiting for the knock at the door that would begin my deportation process for the crime of working for a newspaper not particularly partial to President Trumpel-thin-skin, I had a Super Bowl nightmare, what the fock: Patriots, 31; Falcons, 27; ISIS, 44,632. Good lord! Should Tahiti or should Fiji be my choice of deportation destination? I needed to consult with my coterie over by the Uptowner tavern/charm school, where destined we were to rendezvous later to discuss the installation of our Super Sunday agenda.

But first, I be headed over to my favorite open-daily 23-hours and 59-minutes restaurant where a guy like me can get a jump-start on girding his loins in preparation for the day’s daily shit-storm to follow. Come along if you want, but you leave the tip. Let’s get going.

Bea: Hey there, Artie, nice to see you. What’s your pleasure?

Art: How ’bout a nice cup of the blackest, thickest and cheapest cup of whatever you’re calling plain-old American coffee today, thank you very kindly.

Bea: I’ve still got maybe a cup’s worth at the bottom of a pot from yesterday I could squeeze out for you, Artie.

Art: Nothing from last week left, Bea?

Bea: I’m afraid not, Artie.

Art: Then squeeze away, Bea. Squeeze away.

Bea: Can do, Artie. So what do you hear, what do you know.

Art: I know I’ve been reading a book called The Hidden Reality by some physical scientist who uses some fancy-schmancy mathematics to say there may be an infinite number of parallel universes where no possibility is inconceivable, even as we speak.

Bea: I wonder if there’s a universe where I work only 70 hours a week, make ends meet, can afford to get the health insurance, and know for sure that my Social Security will be there for me instead of for life-blood-sucking Wall Street bankers. That’s a universe I’d like to go to, Artie.

Art: That universe may exist, Bea. It would be the one with no Republicans. Natch’, the universe I’d most appreciate is where all the women are Marilyn Monroe and all the men are me.

Bea: Gary Cooper for me.

Art: I’d also like a universe where before the start of each session of Congress, by law they’re supposed to get the AV crew to set up a movie screen and watch Frank Capra’s Mr. Deeds Goes to Town.

Bea: How so, Artie?

Art: These in-the-corporate-pocket jag-wagons need to see the climactic courtroom scene where Longfellow Deeds is on trial for being nuts ’cause he inherited $20 million and wants to give it away to the needy. It’s when Deeds says this:

“From what I can see, no matter what system of government we have, there will always be leaders and always be followers. It’s like the road out in front of my house. It’s on a steep hill. Every day I watch the cars climbing up. Some go lickety-split up that hill on high, some have to shift into second, and some sputter and shake and slip back to the bottom again. Same cars, same gasoline, yet some make it and some don’t. And I say the fellas who can make the hill on high should stop once in a while and help those who can’t. That’s all I’m trying to do with this money. Help the fellas who can’t make the hill on high.

Bea: Amen.

Art: How ’bout you scoop me out another cup of that dark matter you’re calling plain old coffee there, Bea?

Bea: My pleasure. What kind of job do you think you’d have in a different universe, Artie?

Artie: Good question. I do know there are at least three jobs that right off the top of my head I know I’d never be able to pull off, no matter how hurting the market was. One: Astronaut—heights make me queasy. Two: Gondolier—my Italian sucks. Three: Head referee for the all-lady fan-focking-tabulous Lingerie Football League. And that’s because I’d be the most, and perhaps only, penalized football referee in history, let me count the ways: illegal use of the hands; offensive holding; extra man in the huddle; (p)ass interference; quick whistle on a run-up-the-middle turnover resulting in a play blown oh-so dead; and for those who enjoy a reverse Spoonerism—defensive interference on a fair catch of punt. Ba-ding-ding-ding!

Bea: You are a rascal, Artie.

Art: God bless you, Bea. So I got to run. Thanks for the coffee and for letting me bend your ear there, Bea—utiful. See you next time.

Bea: My pleasure, Artie. Always nice getting talked at by you. Take care.

(OK, off to the Uptowner, where dreams may be drowned but never die. If I see you there, then you buy me one ’cause I’m Art Kumbalek and I told you so.)

"Man Tased And Beaten By Police"

Published on Aug 25, 2015

"Racine, WI - Joshua J. Ammon was accused of stalking/threatening his former girlfriend. When police finally caught up to him, several officers took him down and begin tasing and beating the man. At one point, the K9 officer let the dog bite the man, just for the fun of it."

"Ice sculptures vandalized"

From The Journal Times.com:

Ricardo Torres ricardo.torres@journaltimes.com
"RACINE — Several ice sculptures made in Saturday's Break the Ice event have been vandalized over night.

"Divino Gelato Cafe, 245 Main St., sponsored an ice sculpture that appeared to be tipped over.

"'When I left here last night it was fine... I don't think the wind could've pushed it over,' said Luke Jackson, manager at Divino Gelato Cafe. 'It's a shame.'

"Racine Police Department say they have not gotten any calls about any of the ice sculptures being vandalized.

"The Journal Times will update this story as it gets more information."

Mary Tyler Moore Dies at 80

Wow. Death stalks everyone.

I posted a video with George Michael singing on OrbsCorbs.com. I had no idea he was discovered dead in bed on Christmas morning.

Last year hit many of my favorites in the music industry. Let's see what happens this year; provided that I, too, survive it.

Dear Madame Zoltar

Dear Before and After Pictures!  How are you?  We've been experiencing Sherlock Holmes weather: gray and damp/drizzling.  It's better than below zero, but not much.  Ms. Tender Heart Bear says it's even too foggy for Mr. Drewzepmeister to go bird watching.  She also told me that Ms. Lizardmom recently had eye surgery and, so far, everything looks good.  (Get the pun?)  Stay well, my dears.  We need healthy Irregulars in order to recruit others to our site.

Of course, by now just about everybody has learned of the Packers' loss and the end of their season.  I was also told by Ms. Tender Heart Bear that Aaron Rodgers was crying after the game.  And with all of their injuries, the flu bug was also working its way through the roster.  Some might say it's miraculous that the Green Bay Packers played as well as they did.  Let me add myself to Aaron Rodgers tears.   I hexed or cursed no one.  Maybe I should have given a wink or two to the Atlanta Falcons.  You know, just break a few bones and stuff.  Well, the Pack played to the best of their ability, but it wasn't enough to overcome their obstacles. n
Another game that Racine taxpayers will probably lose is that of Machinery Row and the arena proposed by Mr. Mayor Lying John.  Everything he does adds to the rot outside of downtown, and in it, for that matter.  Whatever happened to the days when a mayor would just govern us, not make and liable for his real estate games?  Just how many broken down homes are owned by the city?  No one knows, or isn't telling.  In fact, if you watch videos of Common Council meetings, there's a lot of things that nobody knows the truth about.  It seems as if Alderman Sandy Weidner is the only one willing to ask questions and take the heat for daring to ask questions of Mr. Mayor Lying John.  He rarely answers them, instead deferring to his cousin and City Administrator Tom Friedel, who also rarely knows the answers to any questions.  They all act perturbed that anyone dares asks questions of them.  They want all of our money, but none of our input.  Things are decided long before they come before the Council for a vote.  It's all lies and smoke and mirrors.

How does he get away with it?  Apparently no one cares until they are hit in the pocketbook.  By that time, it's too late: Mr. Mayor Lying John has stolen millions this way.  None of his friends have trouble with City Hall, but all others are deemed "enemies" and treated thus.  I don't know how far and deep the corruption goes.  I do know that way back when Mr. Mayor Lying John was involved in legal dealings with Mr. Bill Bielefeldt and his claims of improper lead remediation.  Sure enough, lead paint and other contaminated materials were all over the place.  I spoke with an official at the state EPA about it.  They, too, were very circumspect about the whole deal.  They kept telling me they had already dispatched a remediation team to Racine to instruct the contractors on proper techniques.  As soon as they left town, the contractors returned to their former practices.  The state EPA didn't want to hear this.  They dismissed me.  So, who knows how far the corruption has spread?  Who is going to risk their name and having their careers destroyed in a futile effort to save Racine from itself.  Say, "Baa-baa!"

Of course, our Chief of Police Art Howell announced there was no wrongdoing on the department's behalf when the latest dog, Sugar, was murdered by the police while retreating from the police.  There's talk of an enforcer on the squad.  If so, we want to get rid of him or her.  How come the Kenosha Police haven't been called in to make a determination?  Letting the RPD evaluate the RPD is rather boneheaded. Killing a pet is the next worse thing to killing its owner.  I no longer trust or respect RPD or City Hall.  Filled with liars and thieves.  I know one gentleman who arms himself whenever he hears the Racine police are in the area.  "I'm not going to be their next victim," he says.  "They're definitely in need of weapons training."

Well, I guess it's time to go.  I'm late with this blog.  But my love for you continues 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  No mater what happens, Madame Zoltar is there to help you.

What did the police do with Sugar's body?  Ask madamezoltar@jtirregulars.com

Thank you for reading my blog.  It's a good day for reading or sleeping.  I'm not going out unless I have to.  It's supposed to be pretty cold by this weekend.  Be careful of any snow or ice.  I love you all.
