'We haven't decided anything': Ripon College ponders future of Merriman House

The Merriman House has been vacant since 2010, when Ripon College relocated the Phi Kappa Pi fraternity to a traditional dorm. The future of the building could be decided in the next month.
Ripon College is reexamining the future of the Merriman House, but it doesn’t have anything set in stone for the property and is still weighing various options.
For many years, the Merriman House, 470 Congress St., had been home to the Phi Kappa Pi fraternity — better known as Merriman. That was until fall of 2010 when the fraternity was relocated to a traditional dorm.
The move was framed as necessary due to deteriorating conditions in Merriman House.
Ripon College President Zach Messitte said the college as of right now “doesn’t have a definitive plan” for the Merriman House and is still in the very early stages of coming up with a plan for the property.
“The building has not been occupied for over a decade, and it's in really poor condition,” he said. “Over the course of the last few years, the college has worked with some alumni and with others to try and figure out what to do with the building.”
While the college has looked at some plans to renovate the building, it recently filed paperwork with the city of Ripon for a permit to raze the Merriman House.
Messitte said Ripon College filed papers because it does the bulk of its work on buildings in the summer and wants to make sure it has its house in order when it finalizes a plan.
More useless than the French
After 60 years of completely failing to defend America's borders or protect the nation from invasion, a group of retired US military officers is... encouraging everyone to get involved in local and state politics.
More than 120 retired generals, admirals, and military officers signed a letter that warned that the United States is embroiled in an existential fight and called on “all citizens” to get involved in local and state politics.
“We are in a fight for our survival as a Constitutional Republic like no other time since our founding in 1776. The conflict is between supporters of Socialism and Marxism vs. supporters of Constitutional freedom and liberty,” stated the letter (pdf), which was signed by 124 former generals and admirals, released by “Flag Officers 4 America.”
The letter also posited that opposition to proposed bills and laws that would strengthen election initiatives has troublesome implications.
“Election integrity demands insuring there is one legal vote cast and counted per citizen. Legal votes are identified by State Legislature’s approved controls using government IDs, verified signatures, etc. Today, many are calling such commonsense controls ‘racist’ in an attempt to avoid having fair and honest elections,” the letter added.
According to the Flag Officers 4 America website, it is a group of former military leaders who “pledged to support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies,” who are “domestic” and “foreign.”
Of note, signatories of the letter include retired Army Brig. Gen. Donald Bolduc—a Senate candidate in New Hampshire, retired Army Lt. Gen. William Boykin, and retired Vice Adm. John Poindexter—who was the deputy national security adviser for President Ronald Reagan.
“China is the greatest external threat to America. Establishing cooperative relations with the Chinese Communist Party emboldens them to continue progress toward world domination, militarily, economically, politically, and technologically. We must impose more sanctions and restrictions to impede their world domination goal and protect America’s interests,” their letter also said.
OK, Boomers. The extent to which this letter completely misses the point and the problems is downright amusing. Civnattery and vooting harder will accomplish precisely nothing.
What a joke. With an officer class like this, no wonder the USA hasn't been capable of defeating any foe bigger than Panama.

Time to Face Facts: The Upcoming Generation of Trannies Will be More Attractive Than Women

All men need to prepare themselves for something: the upcoming generation of trannies is going to be more attractive than women. You need to prepare your mind for this fact, because otherwise you might end up killing a tranny.
Most men think of trannies as men in dresses. This is of course what they are, and what they will always be. However, what has happened over the last few years is that prepubescent boys have been shot with puberty blockers and then with estrogen. What this means is that hormonally, these male children are becoming adult females. They are having a female puberty.
The process of puberty is driven entirely by hormones, and virtually all sex signifiers are developed in puberty. If you look at a male and female child of the same age, you can usually only tell them apart by their hair and clothes, and maybe their mannerisms – but their bodies are the same. The only difference you might notice is that boys are a little bit bigger.
The upcoming trannies will develop bone and cartilage structure, muscle mass, fat distribution (including breasts) that will be the same as a woman’s. Also, because they will maintain male brains, they will be smarter than women, and thus actually better at being women than women.
There is not going to be a way to tell these new trannies from real women, except that they will likely be better looking. Because they have male brains, they will understand dieting, and stay slim, unlike women, who turn into disgusting blobs because they lack the ability to restrain themselves. The new trannies will also actually be more feminine as well, because their hormones will be regulated, whereas women take birth control pills that make them masculine by tricking their bodies into producing extra testosterone.

Racine student's sanitizer design wins award
RACINE, Wis. - Nowadays, hand sanitizer is everywhere, but there's a local school that'll soon have dispensers with a very unique design.
It's been a year full of hand washing and sanitizing amid the coronavirus pandemic, and a Racine sixth-grader is getting recognized for his creativity.
"I drew the world sick because of everything the world is going on right now because of COVID and everything," said Wilfred Ortiz.
Ortiz, a Gifford School student won the S.C. Johnson Happy Hands Contest for grades 6-12. Over 800 students from across the country submitted designs promoting the importance of handwashing at school.
"We were really attracted to your design because of the planet Earth and showing the temperature, and the space features the sanitizer," said Cheryl Dillner, SC Johnson.
Submissions were evaluated for creativity, design elements and visual appeal before public votes were cast for the finalists.
After a month of drafting, Ortiz submitted his winning design, inspired by the worldwide pandemic.
"Since it’s for sanitizer, I drew sanitizer chasing COVID or bacteria," he said.
His design will be custom printed on 1,000 S.C. Johnson manual soap and sanitizer dispensers placed throughout Gifford School, something Ortiz said is hard to believe.
"It’s going to be cool knowing I’m the one that drew it," said Ortiz.
Ortiz received a $300 gift card and a $1,000 donation to the school.

It appears that a years-old squabble between Jimmy Kimmel and Sean Hannity has been revived. On Monday night, the Fox News pundit slammed a recent Jimmy Kimmel Live! segment in which the comedian criticized Hannity’s interview with gubernatorial candidate Caitlyn Jenner. Last week, Kimmel called Jenner an “ignorant a-hole” for making comments about homelessness in California while appearing from her Malibu airplane hangar.
“Ah, homeless people, can’t walk around ’em, can’t fly over ’em,” Kimmel said, referencing Jenner’s claims that her friend “can’t walk down the streets and see the homeless.” He continued, “Is it transphobic to call a trans person an ignorant a-hole? Or does calling that trans person an ignorant a-hole, even though she happens to be a trans person, show that we don't discriminate against ignorant a-holes no matter what their gender orientation?”
Hannity fired back on his own show Monday, asking, “Jimmy, what is with all the anger and all the cheap shots? Yeah, in case you haven’t noticed, homeless people are all over your state. And by the way, don’t you have anything better to do? Maybe actually trying to be funny or boost your dismal ratings?”
He then took aim at Kimmel for sketches on Comedy Central’s The Man Show featuring Kimmel in the early 2000s, including one in which Kimmel wore blackface. (Kimmel issued an apology last year after the clip resurfaced, saying, “I apologize to those who were genuinely hurt or offended by the makeup I wore or the words I spoke.”) Hannity urged viewers to “take a trip down memory lane” by playing the clip on-air. “You wanna talk about ignorant assholes?” he asked. “This is you dressed as Karl Malone. And check this out: This is you, an ignorant asshole, when you had a cucumber in your pants during The Man Show. And maybe your bosses at Disney can talk you out of your bad behavior.”
Wisconsin Assembly votes to require national anthem at sporting events in publicly funded venues
Assembly lawmakers on Tuesday passed a bill that would require the national anthem to be played before all sporting events at Wisconsin venues and arenas that receive taxpayer dollars.
Under the proposal from Rep. Tony Kurtz, R-Wonewoc, no sporting event may be held in a venue constructed at least in part with public money unless the event is preceded by the playing or singing of the national anthem.
"We are a very dysfunctional family at times that's for sure — but we are a family," Kurtz said on the floor Tuesday. "And what concerns me, once again to my core, is we are ripping ourselves apart internally in this country."
Kurtz, a military veteran, said requiring the anthem to be played more often would remind Wisconsinites that despite deep political differences, all are part of one country.

Just like the government, McDonald’s cares a lot about people’s health.
Burger chain McDonald’s has announced it is partnering with the White House to promote vaccination information on its coffee cups.
Separately, Joe Biden announced on Tuesday a new program with Lyft and Uber which will offer free rides to anyone going to a vaccination site to get vaccinated.
Starting in July, US customers will see redesigned McCafé cups and delivery-box seal stickers featuring an upbeat message of “We Can Do This”, a slogan created by the US health department.
McDonald’s also said it will unveil a billboard in New York’s Times Square this month displaying vaccine information.
Xavier Becerra, the health secretary, said in a statement the public-private partnership “will help more people make informed decisions about their health and learn about steps they can take to protect themselves and their communities”.
If the government really cared about people’s health and preventing deaths, they’d ban these garbage edibles. Instead, they team up with McDonald’s.
Apparently, the only disease that matters is an imaginary strain of the flu, even though fast “food” kills so many more people.
They also apparently forgot about their own claims that the “coronavirus” kills fat people first. Either that, or the message is that it’s fine to be fat as long as you’re vaxxed?
But if you’re just going to die from heart disease or from falling down stairs, then what difference does it make?

Apple Execs Chose to Keep a Hack of 128 Million iPhones Quiet

An email entered into court last week in Epic Games’ lawsuit against Apple shows that, on the afternoon of September 21, 2015, Apple managers had uncovered 2,500 malicious apps that had been downloaded a total of 203 million times by 128 million users, 18 million of whom were in the US.The mass hack first came to light when researchers uncovered 40 malicious App Store apps, a number that mushroomed to 4,000 as more researchers poked around. The apps contained code that made iPhones and iPads part of a botnet that stole potentially sensitive user information.
“Joz, Tom and Christine—due to the large number of customers potentially affected, do we want to send an email to all of them?” App Store VP Matthew Fischer wrote, referring to Apple senior vice president of worldwide marketing Greg Joswiak and Apple PR people Tom Neumayr and Christine Monaghan. The email continued:

Speaker Robin Vos, Assembly official denied immunocompromised lawmaker's request to work virtually during COVID pandemic
19 could not be transmitted through the air, despite guidance from epidemiologists and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention saying otherwise.
Assembly Speaker Robin Vos, R-Rochester, and the Legislature's human resources director, Amanda Jorgenson, have rejected requests from Rep. Jodi Emerson, D-Eau Claire, to participate in floor sessions and committee hearings from her office.
The requests were made by Emerson and her doctor to reduce Emerson's risk of contracting the virus until she became fully vaccinated because of a medication she takes to suppress her immune system to manage an autoimmune disease Emerson was diagnosed with years ago.
"As you are aware, COVID-19 is not an airborne transmitted disease," Jorgenson wrote to Emerson on April 4 rejecting the request. "Therefore, protection for you is based on limiting particulate exposure."
Jorgenson and Vos offered Emerson a portable plexiglass barrier instead.
"I don’t know where they would get the boldness to say point-blank it’s not airborne transmission," Amanda Simanek, a professor of epidemiology at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee's School of Public Health, said after reviewing the letter.
"It’s been an evolution of understanding — I think it’s pretty well-established," she said. "I don’t get the argument that they’re making and certainly plexiglass is not going to prevent the accumulation of droplets and smaller aerosols."
Criminalizing Christianity

A school secretly reported its chaplain to the anti-terrorism Prevent programme after he delivered a sermon defending the right of pupils to question its introduction of new LGBT policies.
The Reverend Dr Bernard Randall told pupils at independent Trent College near Nottingham that they were allowed to disagree with the measures, particularly if they felt they ran contrary to Church of England principles.
Among them was a plan to ‘develop a whole school LGBT+ inclusive curriculum’.
Having decided that Dr Randall’s sermon was ‘harmful to LGBT’ students, the school flagged him to Prevent, which normally identifies those at risk of radicalisation.
Police investigated the tip-off but advised the school by email that Dr Randall, 48, posed ‘no counter terrorism risk, or risk of radicalisation’. Derbyshire Police confirmed that the case ‘did not meet the threshold for a Prevent referral’.
But in a disturbing development, Dr Randall, a former Cambridge University chaplain and Oxford graduate, claims that the school later told him that any future sermons would be censored in advance.
He also claims that he was warned his chapel services would be monitored ‘to ensure that... requirements are met’. Dr Randall was later dismissed.
In Canada, a pastor was arrested yesterday. This is what becomes inevitable once a formerly Christian society becomes "inclusive" and is convinced to give up its blasphemy laws and permit "freedom of religion".

BERLIN (AP) — Germany’s powerful Catholic progressives are openly defying a recent Holy See pronouncement that priests cannot bless same-sex unions by offering such blessings at services in about 100 different churches all over the country this week.
The blessings at open worship services are the latest pushback from German Catholics against a document released in March by the Vatican’s orthodoxy office, the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, which said Catholic clergy cannot bless same-sex unions because God “cannot bless sin.”
The document pleased conservatives and disheartened advocates for LGBTQ Catholics around the globe. But the response has been particularly acute in Germany, where the German church has been at the forefront of opening discussion on hot-button issues such as the church’s teaching on homosexuality as part of a formal process of debate and reform.
The dozens of church services celebrating blessings of gay unions are the latest escalation in tensions between conservatives and progressives that have already sparked alarm, primarily from the right, that part of the German church might be heading into schism.
Germany is no stranger to schism: 500 years ago, Martin Luther launched the Reformation here.

Wisconsin launched a clergy sex abuse investigation. Here's why, and what it means for victims, church officials.
MADISON - A newly launched review of clergy sexual abuse across Wisconsin has reignited a push for accountability long sought by survivors but also highlights the challenges of investigating what happened to children decades ago.
The investigation will be led by the state Department of Justice and focus on allegations against Catholic clergy and other faith leaders. Prosecutors will rely on documents from Wisconsin's religious orders and five dioceses, along with reports from victims or others who have information.
The probe comes amid a renewed reckoning over clergy abuse in Wisconsin after the suicide last year of a man who accused three priests from St. Norbert Abbey in De Pere of sexually abusing him as a teenager in the 1980s. Nate Lindstrom received $420,000 in secret payments from the Catholic order over 10 years until the abbey stopped sending checks in 2019, a Green Bay Press-Gazette investigation found.
