Cannabis Decriminizalation

Dear City of Racine Alderpersons,

The JT recently ran an article concerning the Cities attempt to decriminalize Cannabis. See:

In that article, Police Chief Art Howell (correctly) reminds Residents that:

"With respect to the powers of local elected officials, in communities where Police and Fire Commissions are in place, the scope of authority over police and fire departments is enumerated under section 62 of Wisconsin State Statues. In general, local ordinances are adoptive of state law. As such, local ordinances may be more restrictive than the corresponding state law, but not less restrictive."

And Police Chief Art Howell is correct.

66.0103 Code of ordinances.
(1) The governing body of a city, village, town or county may authorize the preparation of a code of some or all of its general ordinances. The code may be enacted by an ordinance that incorporates the code by reference. A copy of the code shall be available for public inspection not less than 2 weeks before it is enacted. After the code is enacted, a copy shall be maintained and available for public inspection in the office of the city, village, town or county clerk.
66.0103(2) (2) Publication of a code enacted under sub. (1), in book or pamphlet form, meets the publication requirements of ss. 59.14, 60.80, 61.50 (1) and 62.11 (4) (a).
History: 1999 a. 150.
There is a 4-part test in evaluating whether a municipality may regulate a matter of state-wide concern: 1) whether the legislature has expressly withdrawn the power of municipalities to act; 2) whether the ordinance logically conflicts with the state legislation; 3) whether the ordinance defeats the purpose of the state legislation; or 4) whether the ordinance goes against the spirit of the state legislation. Anchor Savings and Loan Association v. Madison EOC, 120 Wis. 2d 391, 355 N.W.2d 234 (1984).
The scope of legislative activity covered by “ordinances” and “resolutions” extends to formal and informal enactments that address matters both general and specific in a manner meant to be either temporary or permanent and that can be characterized as administrative or otherwise, regardless of how they may be denominated. There is no legislative action a municipality could take that would not come within the ambit of ordinance or resolution. If a statute removes the authority of a municipality's governing body to adopt an ordinance or resolution on a particular subject, the governing body loses all legislative authority on that subject. Wisconsin Carry, Inc. v. City of Madison, 2017 WI 19, 373 Wis. 2d 543, 892 N.W.2d 233, 15-0146.

So let me be clear - in regards to the matter of decriminalizing Cannabis you have no authority to act. So stop wasting the public's time and $$$ beating a dead horse which is, just a ploy to lure out befuddled Voters by the WI Democrats in their desperate  attempt to capture Paul Ryan's seat -

The pragmatic solution would be to REPEAL Cannabis Legislation at the National and State level, moving the jurisdiction from that of Legal (the Corporate Person, granted privileges by the State)) to that of Lawful (the Natural Person, with inherent Rights).

End the nonsense of the Democrats, quit wasting time on beating a dead Horse, and demand REPEAL.

Sincerely,

Tim & Cindy

Time for some political triage. John Nichols offers cover: “Randy Bryce takes responsibility for his past mistakes.”

Foxconn, UBI, Robots & iSlavery

Dear County Board,

Well, well, the political love-fest over the much bally-hooed and promised 13,000 employees at Foxconn is already being shot down – by Foxconn. It appears that they underestimated their labor costs in WI – WHOOPS! – whose cost for workers is much higher than those in existing Foxconn manufacturing facilities located in China, India and Third World Hell-Holes. It appears that the politicians, in their haste to help Guv. Scott Walker out of his jam for failing to produce 250,000 jobs, simply didn’t understand that Foxconn would have to be able to manufacture LCD TV’s at a price point low enough to sell millions of units and still make a profit. Political overreach by Politicians who know nothing about operating a profitable business – only tax and spend.  TSK – TSK.

By the way – 250,000 imaginary jobs minus 13,000 imaginary jobs still leaves a deficit of 237,000 imaginary jobs. Just IMAGINE THAT! As for those 13,000 jobs – well, they may very well appear – but it still has to be determined how many jobs each i-SLAVE employee will be assigned.

We are now entering the Fourth Industrial Revolution filled with new technologies which will displace millions of workers and lead to the abolition of iSlavery, and in this Brave New World, new understandings and a UBI (Universal Basic Income) will become necessary. There are great changes underway in China - be sure to listen China Talks: Goodbye iSlavery  - a Manifesto for Digital Abolition.

Please join Cindy and me is JUST SAYING NO to allowing Governor Scott Walker, Representatives Robin Vos,  Cory Mason & MTP President David DeGroot to violate the Wisconsin Constitution (and their Oath of Office) by granting special rights to Corporate interests, stealing people’s property, destroying multi-generational Farms alongside an entire long established Community, loosening environmental protections, permitting heavy metals water pollution, instituting slave labor wages, providing taxpayer subsidies to multi-billionaire Corporations, and politician overreach.

Sincerely,

Tim & Cindy

Good morning I hope everyone has enjoyed there week. To me it went by way to fast and I feel like I didn't get anything done. I feel bad for the people in Madison that got flooded out of their homes. Here are your questions.

1) Have you ever been in a flood?

2) Do you have friends or family that got flooded out of their homes?

3) Do you donate money to the people that need it to get back in their homes?

4) Have you ever helped people that been flooded out of their homes?

Archdiocese denounces Siena Center 'gay priest' retreat

From The Journal Times.com:
The Siena Retreat Center on April 23, 2014. A ministry of the Racine Dominican sisters, Siena Retreat Center is located at 5637 Erie St. in Caledonia.

CALEDONIA — The Archdiocese of Milwaukee, which oversees the 197 Roman Catholic parishes in southeastern Wisconsin, is distancing itself from a retreat for priests, brothers and deacons who are gay, scheduled for October at the Siena Retreat Center in Caledonia.

Archbishop Jerome Listecki, the highest ranking member of the Catholic Church in the state, condemned the retreat in a letter sent to local churches that was shared publicly on Aug. 9. He wrote: “This event is not in line with Catholic Church teaching and is in no way connected to or endorsed by the archdiocese, and New Ways Ministry is not a Catholic organization.”

The retreat is planned by New Ways Ministry, a Maryland-based organization that aims “to build bridges of reconciliation and justice between the LGBT community and the Catholic Church,” according to Executive Director Francis DeBernardo. It is scheduled for Oct. 2-4 at the Siena Retreat Center, 5637 Erie St.

Foxconn now declines to say it plans to build type of factory named in state, local contracts

Foxconn Technology Group on Wednesday said again that it will create 13,000 jobs in Wisconsin and invest $10 billion in its planned manufacturing campus, but declined to say it still plans to build the type of factory specified in its contracts with state and local government.

Responding to criticism from Democrats over changing plans for a project that could receive some $4 billion in public subsidies, Foxconn reiterated that it is committed to the jobs and investment numbers.

But in a shift from its stance of two months ago, the company on Wednesday did not offer assurances that it still plans to build the type of liquid crystal display panel plant the contracts cite.

From a Better Mount Pleasant:

When U.S. manufacturers began moving operations overseas, they told the American people that it was to decrease costs and increase productivity - they said, as a result of increased labor costs. As we know now, it led to the demise of American manufacturing and catastrophic job loss.
Those companies weren't lying. It did save them money.
When modern manufacturing companies talk about the increased use of robotics, they say it is to decrease costs and increase productivity. In today's JT, Terry Woo says the employment model in Wisconsin has already changed because "much higher labor costs here would guarantee failure."
He's not lying. Critics at the announcement of the Wisconsin plant have always wondered how they would remain profitable with American labor costs.
Foxconn has invested billions into robotics. They have not been shy in international press saying wish to replace all workers with robots.
Of course there will be jobs. However, even before the last resident has left the area - this deal has gone from "75 percent assembly line workers, 25 percent engineers and managers," to "10 percent assembly line workers, 90 percent knowledge workers.”
What is the next iteration of Foxconn's employment strategy? We can't know until they tell us - but one thing we do know, and history has shown us - it will be whatever benefits Foxconn's profitability.
Just remember, you gave them $4.5 billion to build it.

Pope addresses Pennsylvania sex abuse report

Pope Francis is a cool guy.

An off-duty New Berlin police officer was driving drunk. Waukesha police didn't cite him.

From JSOnline:

, Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Published 2:24 p.m. CT Aug. 21, 2018 | Updated 4:29 p.m. CT Aug. 21, 2018

In a screenshot of dashcam video, Waukesha Police Department Officer Bryan Spakowicz speaks to the driver, Jacob Burow, during a traffic stop.(Photo: Waukesha Police Department)

WAUKESHA - As two Waukesha police officers returned to their squad cars to perform a driver’s license check on a 22-year-old man who was pulled over, they wondered if they were dealing with an off-duty cop.

One of them showed the license to the other. He mouthed the words “law enforcement officer,” so the nearby dashcam couldn’t pick up what he was asking.

They texted a New Berlin officer and confirmed their suspicions: the driver, named Zachary Burow, who told the Waukesha officers he drank “two beers” earlier that night, was a new cop in New Berlin, still on probationary status.

Officer Bryan Spakowicz, who conducted the traffic stop, later told New Berlin command staff during their investigation into the incident that, normally, he would run an ordinary citizen through standardized field sobriety tests if they indicated to him they drank “two beers” sometime before being pulled over.

Spakowicz also recognized Burow had glassy eyes and knew he was coming from a bar.

But before Spakowicz approached the suspect vehicle a second time, he turned off the audio for his dashcam. He later told New Berlin command staff what he said when he returned to the driver’s window:

“I don’t think you are impaired, but why don’t you pull over and I will give you a PBT (preliminary breath test). I am not going to arrest you. If you had too much, then we will get you a ride home.”

Burow blew a 0.083 blood-alcohol concentration, just over the legal limit. The Waukesha officers did not arrest or cite him.

Dear Madame Zoltar

Hello, my lads and lassies!  How are you?  We're recovering from a prank gone bad.  Junior was in the basement and lit an M-80, or so he thought.  In reality, he lit a spakler fountain lying on its side.  It took off like a rocket and struck the bax where Junior stores his firecrackers.  Ka-boom!  Junior is now forbidden from using any kind of explosive.  Of course I have no way of enforcing said edict, but it's the thought that counts.

Hey, how about them cardinals accused of covering up sex abuse?  Pemmsylvania is the latest location for sex scandals, mostly priests invoved with minors.  300 priests are thought to have molested over 1, 000 children.  It's staggering.  It's mind -boggling.  It's sad.  Of course, some bushop had to pipe up and blame this on a homosexual subculture in the Catholic Church. (http://www.jtirregulars.com/2018/08/bishop-robert-morlino-blames-homosexual.html).  What crap!  The Church is still not willing to accept resposibility for what it's done.  Sue them out of existence, that's my advice.

Mr. Trump has announced that wweno longer need to conserve oil.  Fracking is bringing in more oil than we can use at present.  Mr. Trump also suggrstrd relaxing federal mileage standards for cars and trucks.  Never mind that that will add to the smog problem.  Soon everyone in California will wear a gas mask outdoors:

There are a number pf Wisconsin cities with marijuana referendums on their November ballots. All of these are "advisory."  They bark, but they don't bite  It'll be interesting to see the results.  I suspect strong support for medical marijuana.  Some may also endorse recreational marijuana.  Will the governor or legislature hear our plea?  Haha.  Not likely.  The will of the people means little these days.

Guess who called me?  That dirty rotten son of a bitch ex-husband of mine.  He has his booth set up at some carnival or fair.  He wanted to know how Junior is doing.  I told him to go to hell.  As soon as he pays all the back support he owes me, then he can access his son.  I have full custody of Junior.  There's nothing Mr. Zoltar can really do to us.

Foxconn continues to dominate the local news.  When do they start printing money?

All sorts of housing projects have sprung up in the wake of Foxconn.  If Foxconn renegs, a lot of people are going to lose money.  A real lot.  So here's a prayer to keep Foxconn on the cutting edge of technology.  Go, Foxconn, go!

Thank you for reading my blog this week.  I love my readers.  The more, the better.  Please feel free to talk up my blog to others.  No matter how many or how few se the light, I'll always be here for you.

'Green Mamba' jet car showman dies in Upper Michigan racetrack crash

From JSOnline:

Bishop Robert Morlino blames 'homosexual subculture' for sexual abuse scandal

Madison Catholic Bishop Robert Morlino, right, meets Pope Francis for the first time on Oct. 9, 2013, in St. Peter's Square at the Vatican.

Madison Catholic Bishop Robert Morlino over the weekend claimed that a homosexual subculture within the Catholic Church’s hierarchy is mostly to blame for the church’s ongoing sexual abuse scandal that a grand jury in Pennsylvania recently found to include decades of sexual assaults against children by hundreds of priests.

In a five-page letter to members of the diocese on Saturday, Morlino took exception with efforts to blame much of the scandal on priests who victimize young children “despite clear evidence to the contrary.”

Another pig oinks up.  Homosexuals are attracted to other homosexuals, NOT children.  This pig is trying to confuse the issue: hundreds of priests molesting thousands of children.  That's not gay, that's sick.

Report: Foxconn innovation center in Eau Claire criticized by those who wanted restaurant

From JSOnline:

 Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Published 2:43 p.m. CT Aug. 19, 2018 | Updated 3:23 p.m. CT Aug. 19, 2018

Foxconn Chairman Terry Gou
Foxconn's plans to build an innovation center in downtown Eau Claire is drawing criticism from people who expected a restaurant at the site, the Eau Claire Leader-Telegram reports.

Foxconn announced last month it had purchased more than 15,000 square feet of co-working space in Haymarket Landing, which is a part of a public-private partnership aimed at redeveloping downtown Eau Claire and its riverfront. The company said it will use that space as an innovation center related to high-definition displays connected to ultra-fast data networks.

The criticism is coming because the space had been envisioned for a restaurant offering spectacular river views, according to the Eau Claire newspaper report.

FULL COVERAGE:  Foxconn in Wisconsin

“There has been a lot of overwhelmingly negative feedback about” the Foxconn plan, City Council Acting President Andrew Werthmann told the newspaper. “I think that’s because we as a community were investing in a certain vision for downtown and that space, and this is not in keeping with that vision.”

Stuart Schaefer, president of Commonweal Development Corp., told the newspaper that the reason for the change in plans is simple: No entrepreneur ever stepped forward to create a restaurant in the Haymarket site.

Qui Bono?

Dear City of Racine Alderpersons,

All City of Racine residents should be as fortunate as Mayor Cory Mason and Municipal Judge Rebecca Mason, who purchased a Lakefront home at 3907 Lighthouse Drive for a steep discount from the (politically connected) owner who benefited, over time, at seeing his property assessment  drop by HALF – from a high of $800,000 in 2008, to a new low of $440,000 in 2018!

It's seems incredible, but it is true!

The former owner is Robert H. Lehner II, Father of Benjamin Lehner, who is employed by City of Racine Housing & Community Development as a Community Development Program Specialist –

Ben was also a member of Monte Osterman’s questionably legal Root River Council Inc., as was then Representative Cory Mason.  When a request was made, in accordance with IRS regulations, to view the Root River Council’s form 990, Monte Osterman refused to comply, because the Organization had failed to properly complete the registration process and was not filing 990’s – despite receiving tens of thousands of $$$ in grants from DNR, DOA Wisconsin Coastal Management Program, and others. When an Ethics Complaint was filed – it was immediately dismissed, and Monte Osterman directed any further requests to view the Form 990 to his Attorney, Rebecca Mason. According to IRS records, the Root River Council was TERMINATED as an Organization in 2013. Miraculously, like a Phoenix rising from the ashes, it was re-born under former City Development Director and current RUSD Board member Brian O’connell in 2016!

Has City of Racine morphed into a Criminal Enterprise?

Sincerely,

Tim & Cindy

In San Francisco, Opioid Addiction Treatment Offered on the Streets

From The New York Times:

Dr. Barry Zevin, center, with Mark Farrell, the former mayor of San Francisco, left, and Chris Ruffino, a substance abuse counselor, when they announced the city’s street treatment program in May.CreditJustin Sullivan/Getty Images

The addiction treatment program at Highland Hospital’s emergency room is only one way that cities and health care providers are connecting with people in unusual settings.

Another is in San Francisco, where city health workers are taking to the streets to find homeless people with opioid use disorder and offering them buprenorphine prescriptions on the spot.

The city is spending $6 million on the program in the next two years, partly in response to a striking increase in the number of people injecting drugs on sidewalks and in other public areas. Most of the money will go toward hiring 10 new clinicians for the city’s Street Medicine Team, which already provides medical care for the homeless.

Members of the team will travel around the city offering buprenorphine prescriptions to addicted homeless people, which they can fill the same day at a city-run pharmacy.

At the end of a recent yearlong pilot, about 20 of the 95 participants were still taking buprenorphine under the care of the street medicine team.

Dr. Barry Zevin, the city’s medical director for Street Medicine and Shelter Health, hopes to provide buprenorphine to 250 more people through the program. That’s only a tiny fraction of the estimated 22,500 people in San Francisco who actively inject drugs, he said, but it’s a start.

What follows is a condensed, edited interview with Dr. Zevin, who has been providing medical care to the homeless in San Francisco since 1991.

Why offer buprenorphine on the streets instead of in a medical clinic?
Most health care for the homeless happens under the model of waiting for people to come in to a health center. But a lot of people never come in. There are a lot of mental health, substance abuse and cognitive problems in this population, a lot of chronic illness. Appointments are the enemy of homeless people. On the street there are no appointments, and no penalties or judgments for missing appointments.

Are you finding a lot of enthusiasm for the buprenorphine program?
Virtually all the people we interact with are interested. The people we approach on the streets and in encampments tend to be the longer-term users. At our needle exchange sites, it’s younger people who have maybe spent less time using.
Do you try to make sure that people are taking the buprenorphine you give them, and not selling it to others who might abuse it? Do you check to see whether participants are still using illicit drugs?
We’re paying attention — we’re doing urine testing. But it’s not a barrier. People can still be in the program. Our pharmacist today said it looked like one patient was still using and hadn’t had a toxicology that showed he had bupe in his system for a couple months. So we will give him a three-day supply, then check him again. If he’s not taking the buprenorphine, we will offer observed dosing daily for the next three days.
I do have to worry about diversion, but I want to individualize care for each person and not say that that worry is more important than my patient in front of me, whose life is at stake.

What happens if a patient in this program is using other drugs besides opioids — like methamphetamine or cocaine?
It’s really, really hard to treat people with co-occurring meth and opioid use disorder. Only a few places have such a strong trend of people using both these drugs, and San Francisco is one of them. Easily 75 percent of my patients use both every day.
But at least we are reducing the risk of death, even if somebody’s only taking their bupe some of the time. It’s especially important now because of the poisoning of the heroin supply with fentanyl.

A woman called police on a man who was getting into his own car in Milwaukee

From JSOnline:
Corvontae Davis poses with his Ford Mustang. Recently, a woman called the police on him because she thought he was breaking into what turned out to be his own car.(Photo: Corvontae Davis)

Corvontae Davis went to the Third Ward on Tuesday to have lunch with his brother.

When he was getting into his own car to find change to put into the parking meter, a woman started yelling at him and called police. She thought he was breaking into the car.
He felt her response was racially motivated.

The Oak Creek resident said he did struggle briefly to open the doors of the car. He has a 2016 Ford Mustang with keyless entry. But instead of asking him if there was a problem, she crossed to the other side of the street, started yelling at him and called police.

Call logs confirm that someone called police to report a suspicious person with a car at that time and place.

Davis took video of the woman making the call and posted it on Facebook.

"It was very embarrassing. I work for the State of Wisconsin as an officer at a local prison and to be accused of such behavior, it’s mind-boggling," he said.

Davis waited for police to arrive.

"She stood there for a while. When she noticed that the cops arrived, she went off and didn’t interact with the police department. She didn’t interact with me," Davis said. "She left me out there to explain myself and the situation and what was going on."

Davis said he offered police officers his license and registration and they did confirm he owned the car and apologized for the woman's behavior.

Davis didn't know the woman's name but he said he's looking for an apology, nothing more.

Tesla allegedly covered up drug trafficking and spied on employees at the Gigafactory, whistleblower says

A former member of Tesla’s in-house security team has told the

It’s the second known whistleblower complaint from a former Tesla

Four for Fridays

Good morning everyone I hope that your week has been going good. This week has been crazy for me our Granddaughter has been back and forth to the doctor office with a rash on her face and it is swollen. I feel so bad for her and I just wish I could be up north for her. Here are your questions.

1) Do you remember your first place when you moved out of your parents house?

2) Was it everything you wanted it to be?

3) Was it real small or big enough for you?

4) Have you ever had a place that you were happy to live?

Have a great weekend!

Stingl: Marijuana in our beer? Maybe someday, but Wisconsin lags on legalizing weed

From JSOnline:

You only have to read the news to imagine a future where major breweries are putting marijuana in their demented malt beverages or whatever they call the concoction.

Earlier this month, we learned that Molson Coors, parent company of MillerCoors, is getting together with a cannabis producer in Canada to make drinks that get their kick from pot.

And the brewer that makes Corona, Constellation Brands, has invested $4.2 billion in Canopy Growth, the leading cannabis producer in Canada. They're also betting that consumers want to get high from a bottle.

Before you assume this bud's for you, here's a reminder that Wisconsin has shown no movement to join the nine states and District of Columbia that have legalized marijuana for recreational use by adults and 30 states that approved medical use of the drug.

So it may be a while, if ever, that you can get a contact high by driving through the Miller Valley.

In June, Canada became the second nation to legalize marijuana for fun or medicine. It didn't take long for Molson Coors to sniff around and team up with The Hydropothecary Corp. to develop a nonalcoholic beverage infused with weed.

The CEO of Hydropothecary, one Sebastian St. Louis, told Bloomberg the market for cannabis drinks is staggering and that the deal with Molson Coors might make them the first out of the gate in Canada.

"They're bringing capability as a Fortune 300 company that quite frankly no cannabis company even comes close to replicating," he said.

He understands that marijuana fans increasingly want to consume the drug with edibles and drinks, rather than by smoking it. The numbers in weed-legal places like Colorado bear that out. USA Today reported that smokable pot accounts for 44% of sales in Colorado, down from 67% when legal sales began in 2014.

It's a shame that Milwaukee, once known as the city made famous by beer, won't be part of this emerging billion dollar market. Wisconsin's Republican-controlled Legislature and governor have no interest in the tax revenue and law enforcement savings that legal marijuana would generate.

Some of us have a chance to nudge our lawmakers in the right direction in the November election.

Several counties, including Milwaukee, Dane, La Crosse and Rock, will ask voters if they favor legalizing marijuana for recreational use, and Sauk, Brown and Marathon will ask about allowing medical use. Other counties still considering the move include Eau Claire, Racine and Langlade.

These referendums are only advisory, but they add to the steady drip of washing away the war on drugs, especially this particular drug with no known lethal level, as opposed to legal alcohol.

Enforcement of marijuana laws has caused more damage than the drug itself, especially in minority communities.

I think we know how these referendums will turn out, besides having the effect of flooding the polls with more progressive voters. A Marquette University Law School poll from 2016 found that 59% of registered Wisconsin voters favor legalizing marijuana and regulating it like alcohol.

Someday when former Gov. Scott Walker and legislative leaders are kicking back with a refreshing bottle of legal Miller weed beer, they'll laugh and ask why they took so long to make it happen.

Then they'll wonder if there's any Doritos handy and why they can't feel their face.

More than 30 people overdose at downtown city park

Dear Madame Zoltar

Hello, my buttercups! How are you? Sorry to be so late with my blog, but a certain Saudi prince needed my services. He insisted and I didn't protest too much because he pays so well. He flew me therre and back in one of his private jets.  Talk about the high life!  He has gold everything.  I'm surprised his clothes aren't made out of gold.  Part of the problem, of course, is that he's been spoiled since birth.  He's a multi-millionaire and hasn't worked a day in his life.  Yet, for all of his money and possessions, he is not happy.  That's too bad.

Our primary was yesterday and now we get to listen to a load of political bs until November.  I already know who I'm going to vote for, so can I be spared the ads and robocalls?  Oh, by the way, Ken Yorgan for Congress https://www.yorganforcongress.com

Our weather has been a little hot for my taste, but it's been steady.  No real complaints; just think of January temperatures and this is fine.  I think we need rain.  It's always something.  Being a farmer is such hard work, and then if the weather doesn't co-operate, a lot of sweat and money can go down the drain.  I think farming must be in the blood.  I'm talking family farms, which are slowly disappearing.  Soon, everything will be run by corporate super farms.  And genetic engineering of crops will become commonplace.

Genetic engineering of humans may become mainstream, too. Parents would love to pick out their child's attributes.    Will we produce an army of geniuses?  Will we need them to counter artificial intelligence?  I trust AI not in the least.  You'll never get me in a driverless car unless it's at a carnival.  If these machines do actually gain consciousness, we're moving into the mountains.  Señor Zanza thinks we can make friends with them.  Ha!  He and Junior are going to the mountain, and that's it.

But I serriously doubt that the "singularity" will ever occur in our machines.  Why should it? Because some sci-fi movie director says so?  I think our machines may become sharper and improved.  I don't think they'll ever have a cup of coffee and chat with us.

Junior and Señor Zanza are already reaping the rewards of their sweat: we have cucumbers and green peppers and zucchini.  Tomatoes very soon.  There's nothing like the taste of homegrown veggies.  I had one of the cucmbers yesterday.  It was almost all meat, there were few seeds.  I've never had a cucumber like that before.  And you won't find them in the store where they prefer the watery version.

It's hard for me to accept that we're in the fog days of sunner and soon it will bere over.  Labor Day is a couple of weeks away.  The summer moved by too fast.  Way too fast.  Let's go back to June.  Or even April or May.

Thank you all for reading my blog today.  I love readers and I love you.  You are the reason I'm here.  Contact me if you hasve problems:

Enjoy the waning days of summer.  Have a picnic.  Go to the beach.  Go for a bicycle ride.  Whatever you do, have a good time.
