A New Olympic Sport

For those that are bored with synchronizes swimming and underage gymnasts, there is now a movement afoot to get pole dancing in the Olypmics. They are collecting signatures via an online peteition. No nudity, but all the usual moves you are used to seeing. In addition to IOC approval, they have to come up with an anti-doping policy for pole dancers.

BMX biking is now an Olympic sport?

At first I guffawed when reading this blog, but after clicking the links, I can see where pole dancing could be considered a gymnastic sport along the lines of the parallel bars, but I'm not sure how the dancing aspect of it fits in as sport. But they "dance" on ice skates, right?

What's next? Hot dog eating contests as Olympic events?
