I remember how very good it was, but sorry, don't remember the name. Where has our friend been lately? He has been conspicuously absent. Show yourself, man!

Beejay: Ruffino is a VERY good OLD Chianti. I'm not even certain they even still make it? I do know that the Chianti that comes in the Straw Covered Bottles is NOW VERY expensive.

I love Chianti but, just can't bring myself to the price. I will admit to buying a GALLON by Gallo though. Kinda like the big spender I was when buying Ripple, and Ariba. A buck a bottle. Remember?

I bought Ruffino, Gabbiano and Banfi...anyone of those should be okay, right??? Oh boy, take me away from the Pinot Grigio and I am lost in the wine world!

Oh and none of them is in a straw covered bottle.....oh me, oh my.

I never knew anything about wines. Boone's Farm and Ripple when I was a kid.

Beejay: I don't recall the name of the area of Italy that GOOD chianti comes from but, I know Banfi is good but I never heard of the other. I do know the name of the area is on the band at the top of the bottle. BTW. The straw bottle doesn't mean anything anymore but, those LUCKY folks that have ORIGINAL OLD wicker wrapped bottles have valuable bottles.

I remember reading about a quiz question that asked a contestant, "What was the first name of the two brothers who taught America to fly?" The guy answered Ernest and Julio. LOL

Beejay: Just consider what a neat name "Annie Greensprings" was?

I can't even remember all the wine.

Spinyadda (that would be phonetic)
Aribba (phonetic) Darn near killed me.

I was also hooked on Rhine Wine for quite awhile.

When my wife and I went out to dinner (often before kids) we only drank Mateus (probably phonetic)
Rose.

Where have we been, and where have we gone? OH I miss the wonder years.
