It has become a bit of an annual tradition about this time each year to take a gander at the Beloit College Mindset For the Class of 2013. I think they do this to make us feel old...fortunately, it hasn't worked on me yet. Makes me feel those young 'uns are oblivious to history.
So a few of my favorites...
9. They have been preparing for the arrival of HDTV all their lives.
14. Text has always been hyper.
25. Condoms have always been advertised on television.
33. Their folks could always reach for a Zoloft (and probably needed it!)
51. Britney Spears has always been heard on classic rock stations.

They know everything before it is on the nightly news. I guess I'm not of their mindset.... I saw this first last night with Brian Williams.
These are my other favorites:
*The Green Giant has always been Shrek.
*They've never had to use a card catalog.
*They've never had to shake down a thermometer.
*There have always been flat screen t.v.'s.
*Blue Jello always existed.
The lack of a card catalog is what prompted me to become computer literate. In the mid 90's, I went to Parkside one day to check out something in their library. When I got there, the old card catalog was gone and they had all these computers instead. I had worked with a DOS system before, but never Windows. I was completely lost.
That's another good one...they have never heard of "DOS".
