I believe my husband is going to get it.. He works as a teacher at a highschool. I am not sure about the girls.. hard to think giving them a shot if it's not really necessary. For myself I believe I will not be getting it.

Call me paranoid, a foil hat wearer, etc.... Since I stopped getting flu shots, I haven't gotten the flu - 6 years now. The H1N1 vaccine scares the crap out of me. Too new, too fast.

Getting it when it's available, and recommended for my age group. I figure by that time, enough people have been vaccinated that we'd know about any immediate concerns.

I've already received the regular flu shot this year. I get it every year. And I don't know when I had the flu last. But I also don't know that the vaccine has kept me healthy. I really, really, REALLY hate head colds, so I avoid sick people and take a lot of Vitamin C.

Mom lives in a senior housing complex. Like a school, colds and the flu go through there like wildfire. But seniors may be immune to H1N1, so I wonder what will happen.

I heard you have to be over 100 years old to have any immunity to the H1N1 virus.

I'm maintaining my initial pose. I will not take the vaccine.

I am fairly healthy now. If this is indeed a 100 year virus, I will take my lumps now. Natural immunity is better than what can be gotten through vaccines. They also talk about the potential for this to morph or mutate to something more deadly.

My son had it and I was already exposed. I am also around hundreds of {germy} children daily.

If I get it now, although I'll gripe and whine loudly, I will fare much better to recover than if I get it 10-20 years from now when my immunity and possibly my overall health might not be as robust.

Kiss me, I'm ready.

I was offered it at work for $10 and said NO. I was offered it by my doctor and said NO. I am one of those who never get the flu and have never received a shot. LOL...now watch!!

Swine flu vaccines are safe and time-tested, experts say

"'We've been baking this bread for 60 years, and we're pretty good at it, buddy,' said Kenneth Alexander, an infectious disease expert at the University of Chicago."

I'm torn on the H1N1 shot but will go get the regular flu shot when I kick this chest cold...
I just know the year I did not get the flu shot, that was the winter I ended up in the ER 5 times in 2 months unable to breath from severe sudden bronchitis, so for me, I will get the flu shot but need to read up on the other one
