Dear Madame Zoltar

Hello, my slushy snowbirds! How are you? I suppose that may depend upon where you live. The last I heard, Mother Nature was planning to dump 4-8 inches on us overnight, but she was changing her mind every ten minutes. She is so fickle. (Please don’t tell her I said that.) However it turns out, I predict that it won’t be something we haven’t seen before in winter in Wisconsin.

Our glorious and effervescent Packers pillaged the Ravens Monday night and I look forward to them doing the same this Sunday to the much-loathed Bears. The way it’s going with Mother N, the weather may well be a big factor in that game, too. I hope those sample vials of special, traceless enhancers that I sent to the players gets to them. One hit of that stuff and our team will burn Chicago down again. (Confidential to Ms. kkdither: The elusive Mr. Farve apparently has skipped out on his debt to me. If you can nail him down, you’re welcome to him. His arm isn’t the only thing that needed surgery. But I’ve heard that some girls prefer the pump. Viva le difference!)

There were no snowballs in the inbox. (And if there were, wouldn’t they melt? I’m sorry; I’ve had a sip or two of port wine to warm me up. If I don’t make sense, blame the grapes, not me.)

I love the Christmas season dearly. In keeping with the holidays (and because I’m sorely pressed for time to do all of my errands), I’m going to post some of my favorite Christmas songs. (I apologize to the omnidirectional Ms. kkdither because she will not be able to view these until she gets home from work later today. I am so sorry, my dear, but I got stuck in line at the post office and then the mall was a disaster. I’m lucky to be in one piece.) First is John Lennon’s “Happy Xmas (War Is Over):”

Next up is Elvis Presley singing “Santa Claus is Back in Town.” Unfortunately, I couldn’t find a good video to accompany the song. Just close your eyes and pretend the King of Rock ‘n Roll as Santa:

Finally, here is “25th December” by Everything But The Girl. This song always makes me think (as does the band’s name):

Thank you all so much for reading my blog. Please be extra cautious on those treacherous roads. We have to shift into winter driving mode now. Everything starts to move in slow motion. Relax. Enjoy the scenery.

Don’t forget to send your movie scripts and Hollywood gossip to madamezoltar@jtirregulars.com.

Have a wonderful week, each and every one of you, my adorable Irregulars. Victrola!

Yeah, Madame Z, I'm sitting here looking out at all 8 inches of wet pavement and green grass out there.

I think the media should hype the weather more. Perhaps we could sound the air raid sirens every time a snowflake is spotted.

The elusive Mr. Farve...If you can nail him down, you’re welcome to him.
In this case, I will take your cast offs. I don't believe he has a need for any enhancements sent his way????

I prefer the term omnifaceted to omnidirectional.

FYI, I don't have to wait until I get home to view the videos. Just as yesterday, the firewall or filter has failed again. It is okay for all district children to view ANY web content they choose. Bring on the pervs and porn because anything goes. I am being cynical; I'm a tad angry at the continuous higher level failure and lack of concern.

Madame Zoltar, thanks for the John Lennon song. It is a keeper for sure....

Hey, Madame Z, guess what I saw today at 1962 Taylor Ave. in Racine? Psychic Shop

Are these people giving you the customary honorarium for operating in your territory?

Ms. kkdither, if you find him, ride that horse until it drops. ;]

Thank you Mr. SER and Mr. drewzepmeister for your kudos. It's sad to think that two of the artists behind those songs are dead. Oh my, I'm getting a little misty eyed.

Oh, and thank you, Mr. OrbsCorbs, for pointing out the existence of that "Psychic (trash) Shop." I can't believe that anyone would have the effrontery to set up shop in this district without my prior knowledge and consent. They must be non-union. Perhaps even anti-union. Some representatives from the local will be paying them a visit, I guarantee that!
