I wonder if they had to negotiate the changes with the poor guys and gals who have to perform these newer, more invasive searches. Talk about a change to your job description.

Imagine having to do that to random, disgusting people all day long.... not to mention the verbal abuse that they must endure. I would think it would be hard not to say something while you are being groped.

I loved the bumper sticker that said, "if we did our job any better..."

When I was coming back from Mexico to the US, there were two college girls in front of me, one saids some smartass remarks...they took her behind the curtain and 10 minutes later she came out crying her eyes out! I overheard her say, "I'll never do that again", she was just trying to have fun!

I agree with KK, "the verbal abuse that they must endure", business men are a real pain in the ass.

I've been reading comments on-line regarding boycotting the searches and to a certain extent I understand their feelings.
But they cannot compare with the terror those people on the planes felt during 9-11 when they realized what those bastards were up to. Yes it is a pain, and I do feel sorry for the TSA workers but if it saves one life, its worth it.
Plus they'd better realize that if they cause a problem they will probably end up not making their flights and then complaining that the airlines won't refund their money.

I think it is a frustrating situation for everyone. Those TSA workers don't want to do this any more than we want them to do it. KK points out that they are exposed to some pretty nasty folks. We've all met those types of people in our lives. No fun for anyone.

Yeah Beejay I've got two trips, one in December and one in January. Maybe if I tell the guy I got a bad case of man eating crabs he'll leave my crotch alone. Or if that doesn't work, let a fart sneak by when he's down there feeling.

I just heard that this searching is working. Well if it's working they must have found someone with a bomb.

I was on six flights last year and I felt that security at the airports were more than adequate. I understand the need for security, to me, this is getting overboard...

I don't fly so it doesn't affect me, however my feelings echo Mary's. The lunatics will do anything to cause damage and take lives. How soon before they get some sweet looking old grandma to board with an exploding diaper? Or a baby? Maybe I'm paranoid. (Maybe?) If I did fly, I think I'd feel safer the more security measures they took.

I laughed at logjam's idea of farting when they're "down there." (Poor TSA workers.) Maybe eat some hard boiled eggs and hot sauce for breakfast.
