They bring back a lot of memories. I like the squirrel one at the end.

There is a new "silent" movie coming out called, The Artist that is filmed in black and white and totally without modern technology. It looks like it might be very cool. I'm looking forward to seeing it. John Goodman is in it.

There is something about the simplicity of black and white that makes it visually interesting.

That movie sounds interesting, since I only do 1 movie a year, I may check it out. I think B & W brings back the times of when we all felt times were more oriented towards a slower pace, more intervention and communication between people and neighbors. We got to be kids a lot longer than our kids these days, heck they start applying for the best colleges when they are in elementary school now, I don't think I decided until July after I graduated from HS.

True story, when I was working we had purchased an automatic custom built assembly machine.

Professional photographers came in to take pictures of it and the guy is using a Polaroid Instamatic camera with black & white film.

Well I couldn’t let that go so I said to him, “I thought you guys are professional, why are you using an instamatic camera with black & white film?

He just giggled and told me with black & white you can see the “lines and shadows” better and then they can set up the lighting in the right positions first before they waste time and money on color film.

He showed me the picture, then moved the lights, took another and showed me that one, it was amazing the difference, then they took the colored ones and out the door they went!

I'm familiar with with the John Lennon/Yoko Ono pic.
