Roundng the corner at #4. Last day of the work-week. Would have been Teacher's Convention, but our state would rather talk about enhanced teaching methods instead of actually allowing teachers the opportunity to attend workshops and trainings that would give them the opportunity to learn and share new and proven methods and curriculum that actually work. Let's talk the walk instead of walking it. After all, cheaper is always better.

I guess I must take Jed's place.

KK, Teachers convention In Milwaukee was a BIG deal when I was a kid. Thousands of teachers converged on the old auditorium for classes. Funny, these idiots (because they are NOT smarter than fifth graders) all know better.

Speaking of smarter than a 5th grader... I'm pretty sure my rant had a whopper of a run-on sentence. lol. Please forgive my sloppy work when posting from a tablet. You can't see jack about what you're typing. And, forget about spelling and word selection with the auto-correct.

Toad, it is the sharing and the resources that were disseminated at this convention that teachers are missing out on. You can always pick up a book and read about one teaching styles or the other, or attend a class, but to learn from others what they are actually doing in their classrooms and what works (and doesn't) is invaluable. It is a shame that we don't value children and the future more....
