hmm, good question. Handwriting has really taken a dive since the days of old. Some peoples' writing is almost illegible. Maybe due to our reliance on tech stuff? Pretty sure typing skills have soared

Check out those arrows. Who actually writes a W with that many strokes?

They do teach children to print. Those lined sheets are still in use ; however the emphasis is much less than it was for us, for sure. They no longer teach cursive. I think that decision is a huge mistake.

Do you know that kids no longer can read an analog clock? They digital age comes at a price.

I remember these. I'm off at the crack of dawn (okay 7:45) to get my nails done at 9:00.
I do hope someones rear end gets fixed today.
OMG, I forgot the tv repairman is coming today. So much for any shopping Mary had planned.

These kind of sheets are all too common in our household.. Printing I think is still taught, but from what I understand cursive is basically shown to the kids and not really practiced.. In Sweden I think cursive has been out of the curriculum for a long time..

Another stormy day.. Really looking for the hot sunny days.. I love the humidity though..

We've had a bit of a set back with big grandpa.. He has developed a second bout of pneumonia and have had to incubate and sedate him to be able to fight it off.. Tis is pretty hard but we haven't had much for set backs and the doctors have said that he has made the recovery in just one week that most take 2-3 weeks so I suppose we're due for one.. Today is his 83rd birthday we were hoping to be able to give him a little bit of yellow cake, but that will have to wait..

Mary, My dad Is gone, but he could have fixed that "Rear End" faster than whomever Is doing It, and he was a Tool and Die Maker.

He took my brothers rear end out (of his MG) while my brother was living In Green Bay, took It all apart, took all the broken pieces of gear out the SHOP It had been In never removed ultimately locking the gears up, and polished all of the nicked up gears, put It back together, and he, and my mother drove It to Green Bay to surprise my brother. That's the kind of guy MY dad was. Nothing was too difficult for him. So as a treat, my sister In Law (ex) cooked Mom and Dad dinner. (HOT DOGS) My dad never for gave her.

Mary...best of luck with that broken rear, broken TV and ....??? Perhaps you had a broken nail, thus going to the manicurist! That counts for three things!

Who writes any more....The only cursive I use is when I am shouting and really mad I am told. Darnit.

I remember when my kids had to bring those papers home and practice. The cursive papers they really didn't bring home to practice.

WhyNot- We hope Grandpa gets better soon and let him know we said Happy Birthday our prayers are with all of you.

I do have some good news I have a job interview on Friday at GFS Marketplace across the street from Kohls.

Happy Birthday to grandpa, may he breeze through the pneumonia on hospital super strength antibiotics.

I'm sitting here numb as can be. Spent an hour and a half in the dentist chair this morning. Eee-yuk!

No new rear end news yet, but we did find out the TV is toast. As much as I like technology, I don't like the fact that at 10 years old, parts are no longer available. That really sucks. It's amazing that our 19 inch TV that I bought in 88 still works. What do you do.

Nary, I have a friend who started out in TV repair. He says TVs today are throwaways. They all cost more to fix than replace.
