Four for Fridays

Hello everyone and welcome back! All I can say it has been a crazy week.... Weird things have been going on. Anyways, some questions for you...

1) How old were you when you got your first computer?

2) What part of pop culture do wish would just go away?

3) How long do you think you can last in solitary confinement?

4) What MOVIE comes to mind when you think of the '50's?

Enjoy your weekend!

I get to go first!

1. So I don't date myself, let's just say I was a young adult.

2. Most of it. Sagging pants, girls dressing like hoes, body tattooes everywhere, gang activity and affiliation, the violence, and the foul, foul language (I can't be anywhere where I don't constantly hear the F bomb.) Now we have twerking on tv?... I'm starting to think it is the beginning of the end.

3. I'm pretty good alone. I can almost hold a conversation.

4. Gee. No clue. Beach Blanket Bingo?

Thanks, drew, for the random and the ability to rant a bit. ;>

2. Kardashians - I wish they would go away.

3. I don't know, maybe for a while.

4. War of the Worlds.

Thanks Drew

1) How old were you when you got your first computer?
A. In the 70's we called calculators computers, do they count?

2) What part of pop culture do wish would just go away?
A. all of it.

3) How long do you think you can last in solitary confinement?
A. until I die.

4) What MOVIE comes to mind when you think of the '50's?
A. The day the earth stood still.
This movie , like War of the Worlds is a classic and should be viewed several times during your liftime.

Irregulars have a great weekend.

1. Maybe 35. Texas Instruments. Still have one. I finally moved up to a Commodore 64.

2. Current, Most of It. The old stuff. Long hair on men. Sorry Drew.

3. Until I drop dead. Probably not, but I have pretty much been In It for the last 6 and a half years, ALL day long. I interact about 20 minutes a day.

4. "Journey to the center of the Earth"

KK, Your number 3 answer was PRICELESS. I hope I remember that one.

Legal, All of those moves were great. I thought about "The time machine" Your suggestion, and so many more Sci Fi movies, that ALWAYS held you attention.

1. 23, came with the hubby when we got married, none before that

2. droopy pants, lack of respect, it's not a nice culture

3. I think I could live happily like that for at least a good solid week before getting bored, but I would be well rested!

4. not a clue

Toad sparked a few more movies that should be watched several times in your lifetime.

20,000 Leagues Under the Sea-circa 1954
James Mason as Captain Nemo is priceless

Journey to the Center of the Earth- circa 1959
This original is also a classic, with the remake a being a flop

War of the Worlds - circa 1953
This original is also a classic, with the remake also unimpressive.

I would agree with Legal about War of the Worlds and the Day the Earth Stood Still.
Originals - classics, remakes - garbage.

1) Mid forties.

2) Most of it.

3) I dunno. I like being alone. I went nocturnal so I wouldn't have to deal with others.

4) The Day the Earth Stood Still is the first one that came to mind. Cold war paranoia gripped the nation. I liked it better when a foreign government was our enemy rather than our own government.

I know I am a little late this week. I was running doing errands all day.

1) I would have to say in my late early 30's because my older daughter taught me a lot about the computer then.

2) The saggy pants, rap music and the teenagers with the foul language towards adults and the lies.

3) I would not be able to because I like talking to people whether on the computer or in person.

4) Godzilla the way they mouth the words from Japan.

I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Orb's, I love your last one.

Today the President was at a school In Brooklyn NY. and made the statement "You think an education Is expensive, It's not nearly as expensive as ignorance" I loved that one too.
