My kingdom for a spatula!

Which one of you wise guys hid or took my silverware during the move?  I have a fork, a butter knife, and a paring knife.  I've got dishes and bowls and pots and pans, but no utensils.  Well, that just keeps giving me an excuse to go to Top Dog Hot Dogs for food.  I hope I find my stuff before I go broke.

Hurray, I found another butter knife. Only a hundred or so pieces left to find.

Can't you just shake a box to see if it rattles like silverware? :}

The boxes are big and heavy. All the ones labeled "kitchen" have been gone through, I believe. I know I'll find them in a box at the bottom of some pile.

No showers for me yet, either. I haven't found my shower curtain, so I'm stuck with baths. They have very shallow tubs here. I guess they don't want us senior citizens drowning in our tubs.

The biggest problem is procrastination. Once the computer was up and running and online, I stopped unpacking. Now I go on selective search missions to find particular items as I need them. What I hate is when I need something and I know I've seen it, but I can't remember which box.

Hey... how did the silver wind up at my place? I wasn't even there for the move. ;>

Orbs, you will get tired of the boxes and the irritation of looking for needed items soon and dig in to put things away. Tell yourself you'll do 1 box. It is probably more of a mental thing about this being a new home that is causing you to procrastinate.

Eureka! They were in a box marked "kitchen" which I had previously checked, I thought. I guess I didn't check deep enough.

Now i can cook. I love this new range. Actually, the oven is almost too much.

Orbs, you have defeated the silverware demons.

Next is to defeat the shower curtain demons.

Glad you found the utensils! It is maddening to check, and then recheck several times again.

You will get used to it, orbs. You'll find more and more things to like about it as time goes on.

Shortly after moving to my new house, (many years ago) I got the flu. I felt so disorientated and out of place. I'm sure getting older also makes it harder to adapt. I know I'm becoming increasingly more set in my ways....
