I just woke up with the most bizarre dream about smoke alarms going off in an apartment building. And I don't even live in an apartment building......YET...... The dream involved an alarm goig beep beep beep....beep beeep beep....bep beeeeep beep.....you get the idea about the alarm......Fire trucks, weeds, burnt toast,Charlie the cat, phoning a friend to bail me out of jail.....all after swig of BLB's vodka......Can somebody help ME? Delusional in SALEM

all after swig of BLB's vodka...there in lies the problem, you only had a 'swig'

Freud would interpret your dream as repressed sexual instincts coming to the surface.

lacking all motivation, actually it's been missing all week. yesterday was the annual coookie baking day and nobody had any ambition, even me, so I have some to finish today....if anybody finds my oomph, please bring it to me asap, thanks

Crappy weather forecast preempted my holiday celebration which involved a little travel. I don't mind the day of rest. Now, if I only had a swig of BLB's medicinal tonic....

Having temps in the 60's all week have saved us from icy roads. Unfortunately the trees are not so lucky. Hopefully they will survive this round.

Baking cookies today. Have a great day everyone.

Anonymous - you needed more than a swig of BLB's vodka.

LM and Mary- I finished my cookies last night and even on the plates to go to the people. Don't ask me how I found the ambition last night to do that because I have no idea. I also have the presents all taken care of to go. Drew had to wrap the last few presents for me.

Daddy Orbs- Yes your cookies are coming to you.

Anonymous- You had more than a swig of BLB's vodka for something like that to happen.

The phone logs show an event took place but things are a little messed up. The phone shows an incoming call, not an outgoing call. Can somebody decipher what this story all means?
OOOOH what a hangover.
BLB's "majic tonic" (witches brew from the cauldron is potent stuff) set my mind free of normal earthly events. And speaking of repressed sexual instincts, I think somebody got lucky last night, too bad I don't remember who. OH yeah, that was a video I was watching! Help me I have fallen and I can't get it up.
COOKIES........ DID SOMEBODY SAY COOKIES? Have an outstanding weekend watching it snow.

I received my Christmas cookies from Tender Heart Bear and drew. Beautiful and tasty. What a lovely gift. Thank you!

All that cooking talk got me going: I'm gonna make meatloaf tonight. I hope I don't set off any alarms. Meatloaf is great because it tastes good hot or cold. In high school, I never ate the meatloaf on the first day it was offered in the cafeteria, but I loved the cold meatloaf sandwiches they offered the next day.

It looks like this snow/sleet/whatever is going to be the wet, sloppy stuff. Very heavy for man or machine. Be careful.

Today is the official first day of winter. Only three more months of this.

Happy Winter Solstice!

I should not be allowed around the kitchen, and while I'm being honest, I'm going to get a hook for my car keys and hang them on my jacket.

Look out for the weather out there people. I think we are finally done with it.

That storm system is cutting a huge swath across the US.

When it gets really bad, Mary, wear your keys around your neck with a tag that says, "If found, please return me to ....."

I think I absorbed some basic cooking skills from my mom. I'm nowhere near as good as she was, but I look forward to having a modern oven.

Daddy Orbs- You are very welcome for the Christmas Cookies. I was great to see you today when we brought you the cookies.

I just hope this nasty weather will be gone by Monday so we can go up north.

Mary- Don't feel bad I have lost my keys too.

OKIE said...

Oh this time I didn't lose them, I gave them to someone. I was helping a woman to her car Friday night and then a gentleman who had been in the salon with us asked if he could walk her the rest of the way. Apparently when I handed her over I also handed over my keys. After my initial panic I realized she had them and at that moment he walked in with them. Smiling at the fact that on my key chain was a Packer key chain (thanks to SER) and he likes the Packers.
So it all worked out.
